This is a very very very French game. It explores memories as a commodity and has a really interesting angle on cyberpunk, since it's set in Paris and not "made up city #44" like Cyberpunk 2077's Night City. The same goes for the fashion in this game. It's all certainly cyberpunk and certainly fiction, but it's grounded in realism just well enough to keep you in it and make you see the world as something that could really be in 60 years. The main character fights a mixture of capoeira and french kickboxing, which is quite fun to experience, and the combat iself is, on the hardest difficulty, very enjoyable, punishing mistakes easily and making you use all of its mechanics, because there, they aren't crutches as much as they are survival tools. The combo lab isn't really a Street Fighter 6 style avatar creation system, it simply changes what each hit in a combo does, with attacks further into the como, and thus harder to land - giving you better rewards, so the challange comes from doign the right combo at the right time, without dropping it, and without being interrupted. Uninspired character design Awful writing (Some of the worst I have experienced) Boring story Unskippable cutscenes which you have to rewatch if you die(Even if seen) Generic all same looking environments Terrible voice acting (English) Clunky gameplay Wonky Camera that seems to do whatever it wants to during fights Horrible boss fights Odd audio issues throughout Tons of standing around waiting for CD's of different types Pointless combo length system that can't be used because you are forced to dodge out of all your combos before they are finished Very slow and boring memory changing segments that take ages because you have to manually rewind the memory BY HAND (Spinning the left stick for controller) every single time it doesn't go the way the game wants you to do it
Linear and annoying beat-em up.
Unique and beautiful game. Aside from an unnecessary tendious long boss fight near the end with the two spectres, I really enjoyed the combat system and how we need different strategies for different enemies. Wished they were more clear about the combos fighting system, the confusing menu doesnt help much. The rewind sections were very interesting, but the gameplay is a little broken, making it very difficult to press on a object in the right moment. Aside these little technical difficulties, I really enjoyed the story, and I absolutely adore the design of the characters and worldbuilding. Nilin is one of the coolest protagonists I've ever seen. Wished this game had more recognition, totally recommend playing it.
Its fun. the story is pretty cool, i like the concepts and i also like the gameplay. i recommend it :-D
