✦ AI summary

ARMA: Gold Edition receives mixed reactions from players, with some praising its tactical depth, varied mission types spanning infantry to aircraft, and solid graphics for its age, while others criticize it as a disappointing entry in the franchise that lacks innovation over its predecessor Operation Flashpoint, featuring a confusing campaign, awkward controls, and inconsistent AI behavior.

ARMA what have we done with this game. As someone who owns the entire ARMA franchise of games and played nearly all I must say when I got this game this might've been the greatest disappointment in the history of all the ARMA games I played. No major and innovative changes were made to this games besides the graphics upgrade from OFP. Might as well keep playing OFP which features me but if you don't have the money to buy this game, stick to OFP. Don't even get me started on the plotless main campaign as you practically have no idea what your doing and the controls are just terrible. The enemy AI start acting like John Wick and the enemy vehicle crews are moving like they were part of the Luftwaffe and Panzer Divisions while your own friendly just piss you off as they don't follow orders and keep on friendly firing each other. There was this thing introduced in the Main Campaign called auxiliary missions and they were impossible since they were harder then the main mission and it just sucked having to do extra operations to "prepare" for the main one. Vehicles just sucked in this game especially your friendly vehicles like tell me how a BRDM-2 can take out a Abrams with a couple of …

surprisingly awesome game for being so old still good graphics gameplay going from infantry squads to night time raids and sabotage, armoured squads from tanks to humvees, attack helicopters, jets etc some pretty cool if simple storylines for singleplayer as well, and some nice and varied missions just do yourself a favour and learn to play on veteran. normal difficulty you can just afk through most and it isn't as much of a rush and doesn't provide the same sense of pride and accomplishment as veteran, where you need to learn real tactics like recon, how to command squads to take up positions, maintaing high speeds in aircraft to not get shot out of the sky etc its much more tactical and even with a 1080ti i can play this on 4K no problem
