Fun at first (after you understand how to play), but the endgame is annoying with the enemy waves giving you less and less time to do anything. And there isn’t much to discover, it’s the same basic game all along. Expect 3, maybe 4 or 5 hours of gameplay if you insist on winning and try again and again despite the annoying endgame.

The phrase "explore the galaxy" is punching way out of its weight class, but if you better understand what the game is actually about, you may find enjoyment here. This is a very simple, single screen, base building game with minions doing the logistical work while you direct them. The goal is to balance expansion towards monoliths with building defenses while you work against the ever shortening attack wave clock. You eventually lose. That's it. For the price tag, it is fair to expect the game to have more content. This feels like a mobile game with the familiar pattern of starting off way too slowly and ending way too frenetically. If you are hoping to explore space, engage in anything but the minimal definition of "tower defense" or find challenges beyond filling the meters at the 4 monoliths quickly and surviving to an arbitrary wave number, you will be disappointed. For what the game is on its own merits, my major complaint is the inadequate way minion tasks are handled: They will double up on the same task, only to stop and turn around when another minion got there first, wasting time. They will happily spread out their work, for example a minion on food service might dist…

A nice little midmorning snack, as Admiral Cain said. Has remarkably more substance to it than it might seem, plus, easy on the eyes and sounds nice. Doesn't last all that long and has its faults but all in all has a pretty damn good run.

A nice minimal RTS that's easy to get into and play. It's a bit TOO minimal at times but y'know, I just can't stop breeding these white squares... yeah, I'll write that.

+ Beautiful design + Relaxing atmosphere - Mobile game UI - Barely existent, very slow gameplay - Unpleasant sound design

For less than $2; it's great. I would happily pay more if there was more game to go with such an elegant art style.
