About Grimind

Grimind is a 2D, physics based, adventure, platform game in horror/creepy theme. Grimind casts you into forgotten caves and ancient crypts, without memories. While being there you have to demonstrate great manual skills to pass obstacles and solve non trivial puzzles to get out of scary environment and additionally discover what are you doing there alone – but is it certain... that you are there... alone?

Features:

  • Dynamic gameplay combined with a frightening experience
  • Physics based gameplay - It gives you the possibility to do whatever you want. Every single dynamic object can be dragged, carried or thrown which gives you enormous freedom.
  • Narration - While playing, the character is talking, telling the player what he feels, if he's scared, or what he thinks about the current situation.
  • Challenge! - Grimind isn't an easy game, so you can forget about holding just one key and passing through the levels. Besides dexterity and input skills, there is also a large number of logic puzzles to solve. Your brain will be tested and you'll not get bored.

The game has clunky controls, uninspired puzzles, and dull graphics that hinder enjoyment.

Grimind was an interesting Horror themed, puzzle platformer where you have to try and survive dangerous entities within an expansive cavern. Whilst trying to survive you also need to solve interesting puzzles ranging from physics based propulsion rockets, Music Notes, momentum based platforming, and the more creative ones of manipulating your enemies to do your bidding! Overall, a short game that I would recommend trying out!

Atmospheric horror platformer with clever physics puzzles and tense exploration, but occasional clunky controls and frustrating difficulty spikes.

Grimind, developed by Paweł Mogiła and published by Forever Entertainment S. A., is a dark 2D platformer that blends physics-based puzzles with a brooding, horror-infused atmosphere. From the moment the game begins, it immerses players in a shadowy underground world of caves, ruins, and forgotten corridors. You awaken with little explanation, cast into an environment that feels hostile, lonely, and deliberately ambiguous. Rather than guiding you with explicit objectives or exposition-heavy storytelling, Grimind relies on mood, sparse narration, and environmental tension to carry its experience. At its core, Grimind is built around physics-driven interaction. The protagonist can push, pull, lift, and throw objects scattered throughout the environment in order to solve puzzles or access new areas. Crates must be stacked to reach higher platforms, heavy blocks dragged across switches, and environmental hazards carefully navigated using available tools. This system is designed to encourage experimentation, allowing players to manipulate the world in creative ways. In theory, this adds a satisfying layer of tactile engagement, as puzzles often require thoughtful positioning and timing …

Grimind nails its horror atmosphere — playing in a dark room with headphones really does make the shadowy caves and eerie ambient sounds crawl under your skin in a way I didn't expect from such a small indie game. The physics-based puzzles are clever enough to feel satisfying when they click, and I genuinely appreciated that the achievements are tied to hidden secrets rather than arbitrary milestones. That said, the darkness that makes the atmosphere so effective also works against you constantly — I lost count of how many times I died because I couldn't distinguish a vine from the background or a spike from decoration. There's also a flying ball section with mouse controls that feels like it came from a completely different, worse game, and the English translation is rough enough to undercut what little story momentum exists. If you can grab it on sale and go in expecting a flawed but genuinely eerie little platformer rather than a polished experience, there's something worth experiencing here.
