Very bland JPRG and could not capture my attention nor make me want to know what is in store for the characters.

Amazing brutal artstyle and music: the best I've ever seen in almost any videogame. Gameplay is fun. Completion is a bore. Story is meh.

A really beautiful and touching game. Magical girl is not a genre that the video game world gets to see very often, and Blue Reflection makes its plunge into this barren genre of video games and lands on its feet, not perfectly, but with no worse than a light wobble. Blue Reflection is a somber game. The main character, Hinako, struggles with depression after losing her hobby of ballet after an accident that injured her leg, and this affects her perception of others when looking outward in on the hobby she lost. Its a struggle for others to understand her pain, and this stings her. But she and her friends work through these struggles, and therein lies where the game spends its time. It has a large focus on different character's very down to earth life struggles and how Hinako helps these girls work through their problems. It understands the kinds of things people go through, and it understands there isn't always an easy solution or even a solution at all, but that we as people can struggle and hope together. I was surprised when the game talked about autism as a communication disability and the isolation that can come with it. The game goes through a variety of somewhat tough…
