Playtime is misleading, I played about 10 hours on another account, with expected 3/4 additional hours to finish the story. Great little game. The combat mechanics leave a lot to be desired, especially early game (very limited stamina which hinders combat flow significantly) but it gets better as you progress through the game, with more upgrade and weapons. The gameplay loop is you wake up, you do requests (kill this, loot that, or repair this), this increases your standing with the town, and allows you to upgrade your character in various ways. In the meantime, you'll also progress through the main quest, which is narrated fairly well, through cute characters, touching dialogue, and surprisingly mature themes sometimes. The music is relaxing and the art style is amazing. Only downside is that sometimes the environments are a bit hard to read, since everything is hand crafted and not very formulaic, you might think you can go somewhere, but you can't. Just don't mistake this for either a Zelda like (combat and exploration arent deep enough) or a life-sim / farming-sim (its neither).

such a cozy game for real. love the music, the graphics, and the option to turn off controller rumble. my only gripe was the fact that playing the flute crashed my game. not that you can even really use that thing against mobs anyway. still friggen love this game tho. somehow completed it in approximately 13 hours? was not expecting that but at least it still lets you play after you beat the final guy C:

A fun game about a brave little grape! I really loved the art and music. Gameplay got a little repetitive when trying to get all the towns to level five, but otherwise I enjoyed Garden Story a lot.
