I’m fighting monsters with a frying pan. 10/101 found this helpful

I wanted to like this one. Its whole vibe checks a lot of boxes for me and it looks like something I’d love. Here’s what I liked: The simplistic combat/gameplay. You hit things with a frying pan and you get some ranged weapons too. You can change characters and use Sam’s abilities too. You use both characters to navigate areas, solve puzzles, and defeat enemies. I also liked Sam as a character. The graphics style was fine but nothing amazing. It was on the weird side and the npcs looked kind of creepy and odd for reasons I’m not sure why. I liked the story a lot but with a huge caveat that ruins anything positive I could say about this one. This brings me to what I did not like. The caveat with me liking the story. I’m not going to lie, the mystery behind what’s going on in this world had me intrigued and it’s probably the sole reason I played this game for 3 sit downs, coming to a little over 8 hours. Each time I sat down with a fresh open mind hoping it would get better. But the way the story is conveyed to the player is one of the worst slogs I’ve ever experienced. Like even if the story gets better and better, It doesn’t seem worth all of the ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE AND UNNECESSAR…
Cute farming sim & story mode, amazing art style. peak music. Characters are loveable. Super unique! The farming DLC is like Stardew Valley but with Chinese & Japanese influences (and way better fishing mechanics). Easily one of my favorite games! I hope the dev continues making more, they have real talent & vision that AAA has been missing.
So far the game is good i like it so much. The gameplay and mechanics are fun to play, art style and the music is very good loved it so much. Now for the story the story is good and interseting (currently in ch.2) but what i dont like about the story is, the dialog is a bit to long in some parts. Maybe thats for now and give an update later. So far the game is good
