Another OG classic game that informed hundreds of games to follow, and remains an enjoyable experience even today. That Fable 2 & 3 were never properly ported to Steam and packaged into a bundle with this gem is, if you'll pardon my french, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid.1 found this helpful

This is a game for 7-year olds or those who played it when they were 7 years old and are now filled with nostalgia. Although, when I look at the chidren's book graphics, the insipid writing and the revoltingly shallow moral system, I'm led to wonder if it wasn't also made by a bunch of 7-year olds. This does not mean that I disrespect the young. After all, I am a grandfather, and as such I know very well that there are media - books, movies, games - created for children that everybody can enjoy and have fun with, no matter their age. Personally, I am a big fan of Minecraft and Stardew Valley, for instance. But when it comes to the level of sophistication, Fable the game has nothing in common with the likes of Charles Dickens, Lewis Carrol or J.R.R. Tolkien. It is more in a line with the Teletubbies and the Gruffalo. Which, for me, makes it utterly unenjoyable. I shall try to get a refund. And the new Fable game coming out next year, since it is more or less a modernized remake of the Anniversary, has already found a place on my ignore list.
What a perfectly hilarious core RPG from a time when games were competitive and smart. I'm all for the remaster train, remaster till we die.
One of my favorite RPGs of all time. Still holds ups well today.
