✦ AI summary

Players appreciate the game's classic RPG design, open-ended customization options, and its influence on modern open-world games, with the dialogue and lore delivery being particular highlights. However, opinions are divided on how well it has aged—some find it charming and nostalgic while others criticize the slow pacing, excessive walking, and dated feel, though most agree the core combat remains functional despite minor bugs.

It feels almost nostalgic playing this game despite having never played it back in the day. The game design harkens to simpler times: see a thing, press buttons till you don't. I appreciate how open to customization the game play is: you're not locked into a play style since you can wield all weapons and armor with relatively little cost to re-spec when you want. I appreciate the dialog trees offering opportunities for voice actors to explain the lore. It feels like there's a lot of ideas in this game that would go on to form the basis of modern open world RPGs. I'm not partaking in the online aspect of this game and have only scratched the surface, but I'm having a good time with it.

Like fables games, just larger in content.

I'm having so much fun with this game. It does have some bugs and glitches but nothing that makes it unplayable. I do wish I could cancel side quest and tasks I find out I don't want to do.

Boring, slow, lots of walking, didn't age well. Some of the combat can be fun though
