I came into Chicken Assassin: Reloaded expecting a silly little indie game about an angry chicken punching things. What I got instead was a masterpiece of poultry-powered chaos that absolutely deserves Game of the Year. First of all, the gameplay is ridiculously addictive. You jump in thinking you’ll play for a few minutes, and suddenly it’s three hours later and you’re still smashing waves of enemies while your chicken gets more powerful, more ridiculous, and more unstoppable. The combat is fast, chaotic, and strangely satisfying—watching a furious chicken absolutely demolish hordes of enemies never gets old. The upgrades and loot system is also way deeper than you’d expect. There are tons of weapons, outfits, and gear combinations that let you turn your chicken into an unstoppable feathered war machine. Every run feels rewarding because you’re constantly unlocking something new. And the humor? Perfect. The game fully embraces its absurd premise and runs with it. The characters, enemies, and animations are all over-the-top in the best way possible. It doesn’t take itself seriously, but the gameplay is polished enough that it genuinely stands out. Genuinely did not expect to like this game *this* much, especially considering this was a random steam key I had bought for a buck. It's like if they took the addictiveness of cookie clicker and turned it into a boss rush with surprisingly good visuals and character customization. If you have adhd you need to play this.

I feel like tagging this as an "idler" is a stretch, you never get to not click or click less really. It's decently fun. I don't think I got all the references to Youtubers. I don't think I want to get all the references to Youtubers though, so it didn't affect my gameplay much besides thinking "Oh, this is probably extra funny to somebody who watches streamers."
