Kakuriyo Village ~Moratorium of Adolescence~

I got this at 45% off, figured the rough translation wouldn't be as bad as other reviewers said... I was wrong. It's bad enough that I honestly don't really understand what is happening in this game. There are parts of the game that are entirely untranslated as well. And the world seems thrown together rather than carefully crafted; lots of invisible walls, what looks like paths aren't paths, most buildings that have doors can't be entered. Decided to refund.

Have the worst english translation I have ever seen in a game.

Developed by I'm moralist and published by BokiBoki Games and BokiBoki Game, Kakuriyo Village: Moratorium of Adolescence is a story-rich adventure that blends visual novel storytelling with exploration and light RPG elements to create an emotionally engaging supernatural mystery. Rather than emphasizing fast-paced action or complex gameplay systems, the experience is built around character interactions, narrative choices, and uncovering the secrets of an isolated village suspended between reality and folklore. What an absolute masterpiece.. the characters, the story, setting, that writing. the depth.. so beautiful, sweet.. and thought provoking. Yet incredibly dark and twisted! Love it. Who would have thought 'heaven', at least from the outside would look like 'hell' xD I got my eye on you I'm moralist. Truly sad they would use MTL for this title tho, even if its not the worst, really does it disservice. What i wouldn't give to have this game with a proper translation >.<

Really unique and good game with a lot of scenes. It took me 16 hours to beat it and see everything. The only negative is the translation. It is really bad at the beginning of the game and then inexplicably gets way better for most of the game. Not sure why they didn't just redo the translation for the beginning but if you push past it it really does get way better, not perfect, but way better.
