[*][b] Will it make my eyes bleed?[/b] For NSFW visual novels on steam, it’s quite underwhelming… I'm not going to say that “it looks ugly” . The models are not particularly attractive, they remind me of the early 2010's NSFW 3D models. I will have to admit that I like how expressive they are and that they avoided the “uncanny valley” trap that is so prevalent in this genre of games. Elysium Heights is an AVN that is still very early on in its development. Since there is only chapter 1 at this moment, which is around an hour long, I cant really rate how the story will be. From the portion that I did see though, it looks like it will be a pretty high quality VN. I like the writing and the premise does look promising. I also really like the art and the models as they have a very unique charm. As there arent any sex scenes yet, I cant say if the game will be good for any of you that mainly buy these type of games for those, but for now I would say it feels more like a story heavier game. I also dont think that the sex scenes will be animated so if you are a fan of animations you might be disappointed.Since the game is quite cheap overall, I would say it for sure is worth checking out or at least worth keeping an eye on for the future, because even though there isnt a lot of content yet, the bit that is here is really quite good. **Game has been abandoned.** ***DO NOT BUY*** Just from the screenshots I had high hopes for this title. The art style is a refreshing change of pace. And it starts off with some natural bantering dialogue that compliments the realistic aesthetic. But the first day soon comes to an end, as does any semblance of a rational plot or a credible character narrative.. As of Chapter One's release there's no actual sex scenes, though there is some nudity at a few points. Which would be fine but those scenes just feel to forced and rushed. And while we are introduced tot he MC as a mature young adult woman, sporadically she behaves like a pubescent teenage boy. Of course women can get horny, but the change is so abrupt reading it just about gives my eyes whiplash. And by chapter's end I actually had more empathy for the story's antagonist. Then there are the plot devices that are just beyond ridiculous. Story is supposed to take place in a residential NYC skyscraper, and begins with a party on the roof. Of a skyscraper! 88 floors up! I bought this it sounded fun it has less than an hour of content and also hasn't been updated in more than a year save your money, I wish I did

So I sat through the 2 available seasons. I'm not gonna say this is a bad product. But some of it seems implausible as far as the story goes. The characters are decently portrayed / looking. Its got a little bit of charm to it. But honestly, I am feeling this is going to just be another long drawn out project that doesn't see completion for another 10 years. I'd say wait for this to be on sale? maybe? ... There is a lot more meat out there so to speak. But when you got an itch I suppose, you got an itch. I probably won't give this another look even when it's finally updated (maybe another year or 2 from now?) again. My thumbs up is only because I didn't feel like giving it a negative mark. It needs a lot more content. Maybe some accidental nudity or incidents on the part of the protagonist.

A very promising chapter 1. The game art is superb, the girls are gorgeous (hand drawn), the story is engaging and the characters and situations feel realistic. The writing is also solid and I can see there'll be different love interests/paths to follow. Also it's a breath of fresh air seeing that the story is not about the usual cliches of 'landladies' and horny guys at college, it's something different and more interesting. There's still not much content on this first version but what I saw was really good and feel polished. Also the price for a early access it's acceptable, considering that it will give free access to all the following chapters. Hope to see a continuation as soon as possible.
