Stumbled upon this game by complete surprise in the steam sale. A little over an hour in and I've beaten two bosses and I'm completely hooked. If there was a single word I could use to describe this game, it'd be charming. OOZING with charm in the best way. The music is an earworm, the art style is terrific, even the story, something I normally check out of with these kinds of games, has me interested. It just seems so... cute. Like it reminds me of being a little boy. Sometimes a game comes a long and hooks my heart immediately. This is shades of Wonder Boy in the best way. Deeply satisfied with this purchase already. Played on an AMD BC-250 using Bazzite and it runs like a dream (no pun intended).

I just finished this game a few minutes ago and here are my thoughts. Received this as a gift from a friend, when I saw this one was thinking that this was like the original games where you get to throw candy to capture monsters or you have a wand to face off against the Nightmare King. I was totally wrong and was not expecting a Metroidvania game. However, this is a very enjoyable Metroidvania game, a lot of abilities to collect and a lot of pajamas to collect which gives you different abilities to help you navigate around. Also the soundtrack is also enjoyable. Did experience a few crashes and glitches but the developer is extremely responsive to fix the issue. Would highly recommend this one and hopefully in the future the developer would be ok with me streaming/uploading a playthrough on Youtube.

A very charming metroidvania with fun platforming and great exploration. The visuals are cute and the music is excellent. It's got an unusual but effective healing mechanic where you can heal yourself using "moons" that are found in the levels or by killing enemies. Having the moon meter filled even at full health acts as an additional buffer, as you instantly get healed when you get hit. This also ties into the dynamic difficulty mechanic if you play on the harder difficulty. The better you do and the more moons you collect without getting hit, the more your moon meter rises and the harder the enemies get, but the rewards are also greater. I played on the easier difficulty mode as I wanted a relaxing and cozy experience, and this totally delivered that. It just oozes charm all the way through. The domains are well designed, with plenty of hidden nooks and crannies, branching paths and shortcuts, and loads of collectibles. These include PJs and Toys that grant you special abilities, music tracks for the music player, lucky shards that boost your HP, and blue moons. The blue moon system is quite unique. Blue moons are hidden collectibles that you find 20-30 of in every domain, and…

I'm less than an hour in and this game is a phenomenal metroidvania. The music and art style are really captivating. The controls are simple but very responsive. Highly recommended.
