The Hotel (2022)

A fun horror game made by 1 guy with classic Resident Evil vibes. I had fun with it. The story was not really the strong point, which makes sense as writing is hard. The graphic is actually pretty good and the gameplay is solid, Did not encounter any crashes or stutter or any technical issue. The only downside that I'm going to give it gameplay-wise is that it suffers the same issue that many Resident Evil clone games have, and that is not labeling the keys or giving any information in the description. So you find yourself running around like a headless chicken trying the key in multiple doors until you find the correct one. Also In Judie route The game suffered some unnecessary back-tracking where you pick up a key that opens a door on the other side of the map. So we will go through multiple areas to reach it, which have a key that opens back to the other side of the map. Still I had fun with it and If you like original resident evil style game, give this one a try.

Very well done. I really enjoyed this game, it's reminiscent of RE1 remake which is great as i love that game. I had wanted to play that but it's not playable on Mac but this is the next best thing. It was challenging to see some items in the dark but I managed, the puzzles were fun and the gameplay is solid. Would the creator consider making something similar to Dino Crisis? That would be awesome. I hope to see more games in the future.

If you're just desperate for more survival horror than you can do a lot worse but I still can't recommend this.

This game is very well crafted, and throughout the entire playthrough I did not encounter a single bug. Its mechanics and overall atmosphere clearly draw inspiration from classic games with fixed camera angles and puzzle-based gameplay, while offering improved visuals. After completing the game with the first character, the option to play through the story with a second character becomes available, with an ending that differs from the initial playthrough. The narrative itself is a matter of personal taste. While the core idea does not feel particularly original, I found it interesting to explore the surrounding world and gradually figure out what led to the events taking place.The only aspect I did not enjoy was the arena mode; however, it is completely optional and unrelated to the main storyline, so I don’t see it as a flaw at all.[hr][/hr][b]Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the game, and in my opinion, it stands as one of the strongest representatives of its genre.[/b]

While yes the game itself is impressive for someone who supposedly created it alone the way you ended Alex aka the first half of the game does not make me want to play the other half. and it made the first half feel like a waste of time. Ive put in too much time otherwise This would of been an instant refund knowing what I know now. I cant say its worth buying due to what happens to Alex. Save your Money for something with a better conclusion

Damn, this is some cheesy B-Movie level stuff. But it's also noticeable how as-of-now every enemy has a unique model and some of the fighting animations are very well done. While the game is very janky, it's clear the single developer putted alot of passion into their project. If you enjoy low-budget campy horror movies and resident evil, you'll definetly have some fun with this one.
