Not really a anomaly hunting game, more so 'is the room safe?' yea you look around for something odd or out of place, but then if you just find 1 thing then you guess the red door. The radio is VERY annoying, having to play red light/ greenlight is really the only challenge this game offers since you just have to touch your mouse slightly and its game over. I think I encountered a glitch with it as well, the room went black and the radio's sequence of numbers kept going; Like I just entered the main area not even spending that long on the floor and it kept going longer than normal, so I moved and ended up getting killed, not sure what that was about. Finding the lore disks for this game is also requires multiple playthroughs with no guarantee that you will find the floppy disk you need make it a chore. when you die you lose EVERY floppy collected the only way to secure them is by making it to the 10th floor, which you can still die due to the radio before reaching the ladder. I am honestly very mixed on this game, the atmosphere is good the subtle horror elements are great but its boils down to a 50/50 chance of guessing if the room is good or not. Get it on sale its a decent $5…4 found this helpful
P1: Anchor Light is an atmospheric horror experience that thrives on restraint, subtlety, and psychological pressure rather than overt shocks. Set within an ornate, art-deco lighthouse, the game immediately establishes a sense of uneasy elegance. The environment feels deliberately curated to draw players in with its beauty before slowly undermining that comfort through strange inconsistencies and creeping dread. Rather than relying on jump scares or relentless pursuit, the game focuses on making the player question what they are seeing, turning observation itself into the primary tool for survival. The core gameplay centers on exploration and anomaly detection, tasking players with ascending the lighthouse floor by floor while carefully inspecting each space for irregularities. Rooms may appear familiar at first glance, but closer scrutiny often reveals unsettling distortions, misplaced objects, or subtle changes that signal something is wrong. Progress depends on the player’s ability to notice these deviations and react accordingly, which creates a steady sense of tension rooted in attention and memory. The lighthouse becomes a mental puzzle as much as a physical one, with each d…3 found this helpful
I'm very surprised this doesn't have many reviews because I absolutely loved playing this! Very enjoyable experience, and NOTHING felt repetitive, making me actually WANT to go back and find the disks after completing a run. It was just the right amount of scary, creepy, tense, and also silly. I would highly recommend!3 found this helpful
Visually influenced by the art deco vibes of Bioshock, this anomaly spotting game provides challenging anomalies, some almost invisible to the uninitiated player. The soundtrack can become somewhat grating, the vocals of the old-timey 1920s song can be annoying after a while. Something I did not love at all was the DON'T MOVE game mechanic, whenever the "numbers station lady" speaks. When you are almost at level 9 and you accidentally move your mouse, the frustration is insane. No sir, didn't like it. Also a sore point: Its too damn dark! Even with the brightness turned up in the settings its still darker than the inside of a horse. Still very nice atmosphere, but could do without these things I mentioned.3 found this helpful
All in all this is a pretty solid anomaly-hunting game in the vein of The Exit 8. None of the anomalies felt unreasonably hard to spot so long as you checked all of the rooms, and most were interesting to observe. I did find the mouse smoothing and the inability to turn it off to be frustrating, especially as it tended to make my camera trail for an extra second after I'd stop moving the mouse, sometimes causing me to get caught by the entity that hunts you in the game. Ideally this issue would get remedied by allowing players to turn off mouse smoothing in an update, but it could also be solved by making the creature a bit more forgiving of small mouse movements. If you enjoy anomaly-hunting games you could do a lot worse at the asking price, and becomes an easy recommend at a good sale price.2 found this helpful
This is easily one of the most fun anomaly games I've played in a long time. And I've played em all. About 6 hours in, have completed all the modes. Still missing half of the collectibles and only seen 36 of the 60 anomalies.1 found this helpful
