Private Detective knew this case was going to be strange as soon as she read the letter from the Mayor of Port Providence, in which he asked her to board a ship that went lost at sea years ago, then recently reappeared with no sign of the crew or cargo.
Detective is at a loss as to what happened to the vessel, even after examining all of the evidence. She knows there is more to this case than the Mayor is letting on. The press is abuzz with talk of a curse. And, after encountering a hooded figure with a hook on his hand, on a supposedly abandoned ship, she begins to believe it.
Detective is a rational woman, not prone to believing in ghost stories or fables. But this case is unlike anything she has ever seen. What connects the ship’s disappearance with Devil’s Island, and a local family’s unsolved murder? Will she find the allies she needs to break the Traveler’s Curse?

Very nice game to pass the time in an afternoon, if you are a fan of such games, you will for sure enjoy it! No issues or any kind of trouble occurred.
not bad, it's an okay-ish hidden object game
Wow, this is bad. The voice acting is the worst I've ever heard and some of the audio is tinny, I finished it in under 2.7 hours so it's very short, and it's got very bad writing too. I liked the art style, but the rest is just bad.
My total play time to 100% this game was 2.8 hours. While it is an older game, the current trend of leaving game prices inflated so they can go on 80 - 90% off discounts is a bit much for games like this. The voice acting was pretty bad, and while I didn't check the credits, they sounded like they were mostly the same person doing multiple voices. I don't bother with the plot to these games as they all feel fairly boiler plate at this point. One of the bigger issues is the dated graphics, not just feeling old, but very low res. This doesn't work well in a HOG. Multiple puzzles presented issues, not because objects were well hidden, but because I couldn't tell that the thing they were looking for was actually the thing. Again, this wasn't cleverness, it was a very simple, "I had no idea that lumpy mass was supposed to be a statue." Add in a few interpretation issues, like 2 of the same object being in the same puzzle and you get a misclick if you select the wrong one, and this was an OK, but not a good game. And by that, I mean, it's not ever worth the current asking price of $15.00. I wouldn't even recommend this game by itself on sale, but only if its in a bundle w…
Not bad, not like old mystery case files but nothing is, including newer mystery case files. It was fun. Puzzles were pretty good.
Fun point and click with an interesting story and great locations to visit. Enjoyed the puzzles, and was actually glad this one did not have any extra things to find or collect, like some of the other titles by Artifex Mundi.
