About The Cult: Marduk's Longest Night
What a hellish day for Caleb Marduk! And he's someone who knows a thing or two when it comes to Hell.
Going from ruthless summoner of the most powerful secret society in the world to a man utterly alone in a matter of hours, it's something that would make anyone fall into despair. And yet he thought to be a valuable asset for The Cult... After all, being capable of mastering dark magic to ruin people's lives —and doing that with a certain charisma— it's a very appreciated skill in his environment.
But when The Cult kidnaps his daughter in front of his eyes and every demon is looking forward to feast on his rotten soul, even a monumental ego like Marduk's starts to see things in a entirely different light.
Crushed under the weight of the choice that changed his life yet determined to take back what was taken from him, Marduk has only one certainty: it will be a very long night...

✦ AI summary
Players praise this point-and-click adventure for its imaginative puzzles, engaging story with dark undertones, and standout original soundtrack that many highlight as the game's strongest element. However, some find the experience limited by repetitive backtracking between few locations and feel the story, despite mythological and occult themes, lacks real depth or absorbing narrative quality.
ein kleines aber gutes point & click game, besonders schön fand ich die gute Musik. a little but good point & click game, i love the music.5 found this helpful
For imagination and originality, I'd give this game an high score. The puzzles are for the most part logical and nicely intertwined into the plot. Considering it's a low-budget game the graphics are okay but what really shines is the soundtrack.2 found this helpful
A very decent point and click with acceptable writing and a few original and inspired puzzles. It is not a masterpiece but definitely worth the time. Curious to see what happens in the next chapter.2 found this helpful
boring game confined to very few places. you have to go to and from those places endless times. graphics are hand-drawn and they are ok. there is no voicing, but usually for this kind of indie game this is a blessing. either don't even bother or by all means add an option to turn off voices. humor wasn't bad, i did chuckle a few times, though nothing to write home about really. puzzles were mostly straightforward, some slightly more challenging, but fair, except i didn't bother to solve the extended cain's game puzzle after a few failed attempts. the hints in the letter didn't make a lot of sense to me. the story was meh, the dev obviously knows bits and pieces of mythology and the occult and wanted to construct a cool story, but it wasn't absorbing or interesting at all. he completely lost me when i saw a ruthless killer being named after blavatsky. all in all a game that probably was meant to be unique and somewhat oppressive, but it was boring and soulless more than anything else. despite some positives, i can't recommend this game.1 found this helpful
This game has great artwork and design with some silly edgy characters bits that I find entertaining to see in a game. Could have used some more puzzle elements and voice acting but for the price it is a nice short afternoon game. Was hoping there would be a sequel out by now.
It's a decent game overall. Puzzles are engaging enough to keep your interest, without being too obtuse or handholding.
