About Voyagers

Voyagers is a simplistic strategy game/city builder about building your own sci-fi metropolis on exotic planets. Starting out as a mere colony you'll grow into a striving city.
Travel to an endless amount of planets with and construct a variety of colonies to creatively fulfill your vision of a Utopian or Dystopian city.

  • An infinite amount of procedurally generated planets that offer new challenges, play-styles, and faunas
  • Immersive and relaxing atmosphere
  • A Great number of buildings, decorations, and planets to fully live out your creativity
  • Accessible, simple and stress-free gameplay

Gameplay:

  • Requires an active internet connection
  • Thoughtfully plan the construction of your city to maximize positive links between buildings in order to earn credits (Each building has positive and negative links that effect other buildings within its radius)
  • Once you run out of credits and your colony has successfully failed you've got no other choice than abandoning it and starting out on a new planet
  • Choose your preferred style of constructing your society (Dystopian Police State, Peaceful Utopia or a Criminal Cyberpunk City)

As a city-building sim Voyagers is rather simplistic; people who want more in-depth gameplay should look to other games such as Surviving Mars. With that said, I think the easy-to-pick-up nature of this game is a refreshing take on the genre, forgoing complex mechanics and removing the need to play for hours before you can unlock the more interesting constructions. The stunning graphics and music lend themselves well to the atmosphere of an advanced colony in space, and the generated landscape is a touch barren but well in keeping with the aesthetic. If I could provide some constructive criticism, it would be nice to see a "free build" mode with unlimited resources added in the future, as well as the ability to save user-made worlds. The lack of a tutorial wasn't personally much of a hindrance but I can see how it could frustrate others. All in all, I believe Voyagers is well worth its price and while it may not satisfy the demands of more hardcore city-building sim players, it's great as an entry for new players to the genre or who do not have the time to invest into more complex games.

First off, i would really like to recommend you this game... But sadly in this stage i can't... There is no real goal you're working for in this game. At the start you are told you need to build a thriving cybercity and build a mothership to colonize other planets and on the way don't run out on credits (the only ressource in this game). that's it, no tutorial, no Help and no explanation to any other game mechanics. First you buy a "colony" then you can place some other buildings and need to look for green and red pills?! above the surrounding buildings. Depending on if you have more green or red "pills" in the immeadiate area you get a number above the building you want to place that indicates if you make + or - credits. This goes on and on till you get to place a MOTHERSHIP HARBOR (i litteraly got to this point in 7 mins of playtime...). great, now it gets interesting, or so i thought at least... I clicked on it and nothing happend... I thought, maybe i need some buildings before i can build the mothership harbor (doesn't tell you at all if you need anything to build it). So for the rest of my playtime (20 mins) i built more and more other buildings and everytime i tried to bui…
