Henchman Story

This game isn't bad or awful, it's just... not what I was hoping for. When I read the name Henchman Story and saw the trailers and screenshots, I pictured a game where you play as faceless schlub #4731, the lowest of the low in a supervillain organization, who helps their boss in their latest scheme, gets their butt kicked so hard by a superhero that it turns concave, barely escapes capture, goes back to base, has a cup of coffee, contemplates signing up for the latest experimental treatment, pushes their butt back out and then next week comes back to do it all over again. And Henchman Story does deliver on this premise... for the first hour or so. Then you're told by some lady, who no doubt read the script and saw that you should get preferential treatment, that you're not just an ordinary henchman; you're a SUPER henchman, because you possess basic cognitive abilities and know to keep your mouth shut and head down. After which you're essentially told that you can become a high-ranking supervillain or maybe even a superhero, what luck! And my reaction was pretty much "could I go back to just being a henchman?" and the game went "NO! You're the main character! You're special! Now…

Really enjoyed my time playing. Nice simple story that doesn't drag with multiple endings. My kind of short VN.

I really enjoyed the game, and everything it had to offer, from story to characters to music to artwork to endings. Plus the point of view of your character, being a side character to all the rest of the big guys left and right, you don't see it often and its certainly a breath of fresh air of all the "YOU are the CHOSEN ONE".... I mean, we get that a lot, and the more you see it, the more tiring it gets after a while. Not that it's perfect, it isn't, but it's very good, and the only big difference with bigger names is the budget as far as I am concerned. Great Vn, fully enjoyed it, short and sweet I would say. Kudos to the developers, my best wishes to you and your next projects.

good game, I'm glad I got to it after having it in my library after so long

Quite funny and well written! Got me to audibly laugh out loud quite a bit and I was definitely attached enough to the characters to want to see everything that would happen to them. The unique perspective makes it interesting even for an avid comic reader. They definitely got me invested in the world presented. Definitely check this out

This game is so funny and interesting. I am playing through all the endings now.
