About Heroes Of Loot: Gauntlet Of Power

Heroes of Loot : Gauntlet of Power is all about the weapons!

As you hold the mythical Gauntlet of Power you gain the ability to mount weapons in eight directions to protect and mow down the many dangers lurking in the dungeons. Max up your weapons, mount modifiers, combine weapons to create new weapons, or create weapon-unions for even more exotic powers as you explore the weapon tree!

All wrapped up in a fast paced, randomly generated action RPG shooter with dungeon crawling and Rogue-like elements.

You are a weathered adventurer descending the Heroes of Loot Dungeons, be it Elf, Wizard, Warrior or Valkyrie, you are on a mission to sort out this dungeon and it's creepy crawly horde of monsters. Collecting loot to power up your new found Gauntlet.

Locate mysterious items that aid you on this power trip as you go deeper into the belly of the beast: Unlocking a host of weapons, uncovering secret rooms, run into Monk's handing you quests, or purchase new gadgets from the various shops in the dungeon!

Gameplay explained

(Don’t read if you want to go in blank !)
  • Top-down view, run around the dungeon, killing all critters that spawn around you. Clear room by room, find treasure rooms, shop rooms, quest rooms and secret rooms
  • Killed critters drop either: coins, blue gems, or purple gems. Collect them all!
  • Collected loot goes to your XP bar, and if it fills up, you level up and your Gauntlet of Power will gain a new weapon.
  • Select one out of three (random) options and mount it in one out of eight directions. Either level up existing weapons, or mount new weapons on empty slots.
  • Special weapon combinations and unions exist, but these have to be discovered as you play - mounting 2 weapons next to each other might make them cling together and become a new weapon.   Or possibly adding a knife on a Level 6 Arrow will turn it into an “Assassins arrow” weapon.  Various “secret” combos and unions exist
  • You’ll also find items throughout the dungeon, some are instantly effective when you pick them up, others are “Active” items and you can only carry one at a time (top-left of your HUD). Active items require Pink or Blue gems to power-up before they can be used.
  • Some active items will be triggered automatically when powered-up, others will require you to activate them at your convenience.

An average game run is about 20-25 minutes, a full dungeon run + final boss defeat will take up about 60 minutes. Each game is different and unique, so make sure to keep trying!

Key features:

  • Randomly generated dungeons, items enemies and bosses, you never play the same game twice
  • 5 base weapons and 9 special combo's and union weapons - all upgradable in strength
  • Unique items that enhance your powers against the horde of enemies
  • Over 14 end bosses
  • 6 dungeons covering 16 levels and a final boss-of-all-bosses battle
  • 2 playable and 2 unlockable classes
  • Unlockable Rune-power options to support you in completing the game
  • Perma unlockable Forged cards
  • Secret rooms, Quests, Treasure rooms, and Shops

Learn about active, passive and special items by collecting them and using them. This information is then stored in your Codex for future games. Learn about various dungeon dwelling creatures by defeating enough of them to learn their weaknesses and open up their information in your Codex.

Try different weapon-mounting configurations to unlock combo weapons, union weapons and see if you can find the perfect balance on your Gauntlet of Power!

Unlike the previous 2 Heroes of Loot games, this one is a Vampire Survivors clone. I played 1 run on easy, beat the last guy, and then it just ends the run for you. There is some meta-progression but I don't care to grind through the game 100x trying to unlock stuff. There's nothing wrong with the game, it's just not my preference. I'd say it's maybe worth $10.

https://youtu.be/rFESyNcJxe0 Balance appears to be out of whack as bosses go down without any stress but upgrades feel completely anemic without much impact.

Heroes Of Loot: Gauntlet Of Power is an action roguelite dungeon crawler developed by Orangepixel and published by Orangepixel together with HandyGames. Building upon the foundation of the long-running Heroes of Loot series, this installment expands the formula with deeper character customization, more dynamic combat systems, and a highly replayable progression structure. Rather than simply recreating familiar dungeon-crawling mechanics, the game introduces several fresh ideas that help it stand out in an increasingly crowded roguelite market. The centerpiece of the experience is the titular Gauntlet of Power, a magical artifact that serves as the player's primary combat tool. As players advance through dangerous dungeons, they unlock and equip various weapons that can be attached to the gauntlet, creating unique offensive combinations. This system gives every run a distinct personality, as different weapon arrangements can dramatically alter combat strategies. Some builds focus on overwhelming enemies with rapid-fire attacks, while others emphasize powerful area damage or specialized effects. The constant stream of choices ensures that progression feels meaningful and encourages …
