What Steam players say

✦ AI summary

Players overwhelmingly criticize Call of Zombie as a low-effort asset flip that repackages stolen Unity assets and templates without meaningful development, describing it as barely functional and more of a proof of concept than a complete game. The few positive reviews praising its atmosphere, difficulty, and sound design are widely dismissed by the community as fake, with legitimate players frustrated by poor controls, unfinished gameplay, and what they see as an attempt to profit from others' work without permission.

Warning: Asset Flip!
Call of Zombie is a Unity Asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", The Two Killer, took the POLYGON War - Low Poly 3D Art  Unity Store tutorial/demo/game asset pack from the real developers, Synty Studios, dropped it lazily on a wave survival/twin stick shooter template they stole from god knows where, and dumped the result onto Steam. They're attempting to scam people into buying this, so they can get your money for someone else's work. This is a really badly done template, or more likely the "developer" didn't know how to use it properly. Res and controls are locked, you have to use the arrow keys to move, and the developer didn't know how to use Unity to create an aiming reticle. It's just a joke, but the best part is yet to come... skip to the end if you want to see a first time shady developer practice that I've never seen in over 10,000 reviews! Because this is an almost exact 1:1 copy + paste of the original Unity asset, it's in violation …

Needs a lot of work, it feels more like a proof of concept rather than a full game. The other reviews are definitely fake.

The blood, the wounds, the decay. It's as if you're witnessing the horrors of war all over again.

I must admit, the game can get a bit intense and scary at times.
