Atlas Hands

Played the demo and wishlisted for its atmosphere, and I'm happy to say I really enjoyed the full game! First few deaths far away from a save might feel defeating, but Atlas Hands does a great job of slowly building your familiarity with the mechanics and the map before adding more challenge. It's a difficult game, and at times I was worried I was doing something wrong/missed something because of it, but it was worth it. A lot to figure out on you own in this one, and it's better for it. Solid A on the environmental design and music, too. If I had to describe it to someone: Metroid Prime + companion cubes from Portal (or, Metroid Prime, but instead of turning into a sphere, you use a gravity gun on spheres). Oh, and if you think you couldn't get jumpscared by a ball rolling on the ground, you might change your mind after this one.

Interestin' concept for a game. The Mindgun is our main weapon to move spheres around to navigate the environment. I like the atmosphere and graphic style but I didnt get too far. I really couldn't get into this. Having to constantly drag a limited number of orbs back and forth to power different devices is tedious rather than fun. The game also does nothing to make up for this major flaw. There are other dark/atmospheric shooters out there that play much better than Atlas Hands.

Currently it's a no from me movement is absolutely broken right now. If they can fix that the game would be better. I made it to getting the gun but all passage ways are blocked. The game does run good on Steam Deck except for movement with lossless X2 you can hit 90+ fps. If they fix the movement issues I will change this to a recommended game if I ever figure out how to progress from my position in the game. Right now it's a 6/10. I'm not refunding it just in case it gets fixed. Update found a work around I can now recommend the game for now I'm sticking with a 6/10 score. If you are playing on the deck it's a must to change the joystick movement that is what is broken. Switch it to Dpad WASD movement and it works as intended.

Action is complete garbage, and its the only reason I have to give it thumbs down. You lock on target and then you rotate it with the mouse until you see its week spot. Its very interesting and unique on paper, but the way its implemented is just bad. Rotation is very floaty, which is already bad enough since it makes aiming a chore, but enemies can also rotate themselves to prevent you from hitting the weak spot. They usualy have two or three spots and they regenerate them very fast, so you only have limited time to hit them all. But at the beginning of the game you only have three bullets in your mag (you can expand it later) and reloading is very, VERY slow, plus you have to hold the reload button. Once the enemy gets close, there are two ways you can avoid damage: you can try to get behind the closest corner to break the line of sight, which is very hard to do because enemies are fast and they will follow you everywhere; or you can use your push ability to push them back, which is mostly useless because it only buys you like half a second before enemy gets close again, it very rarely prevents damage, you usually still have to hide behind corner, and it has pretty long cooldown.…
