i wish i could pay more for a version that at least had better event transition UI inbetween fights, because this game is awesome! It's easy to pick up and easy to lay waste. main downside is there is a bit of unlock grind that affects starting play.

I really enjoy this game. One of my all-time favorites is Bloons TD, and this gives me a similar vibe. The big difference is the card system, which I think adds a lot. It actually feels like you’re building something over time and getting stronger, not just playing the same thing over and over.

I really enjoy tower defense games that continued runs help unlock things. The skill tree is large enough and adds a little bit of an advantage for each skill unlocked which keeps you wanting to continue playing and collecting shards. Had a lot of fun playing this and hoping for some sort of DLC or expansion soon to continue playing!

Towers and traps often have additional powers, and there’s a variety of spells too: in addition to various flavors of damage, there is deck cycling, drawing, card creation, curse cleansing, permanent buffs to other cards or your factional special power, and cards that give you resources to shop with later. There are also negative curse cards that you can take for other benefits or that can be foisted on you. During a run, you play as one of 12 factions that decides your starting stats, resources, starting deck, starting artifact (an ongoing passive special power), and your special ability (an active ability with a short cooldown that costs mana). The roguelite meta-progression comes from unlocking additional f…

Quite fun. The faction unlocks are a bit grindy.
