[後半に日本語レビューあり] [h1] A kind succubus and a captive half-elf in a chapter-based VN x dungeon RPG [/h1] A "kind succubus" who cannot kill her prey rescues a half-elf girl who was captured, then sets out on a journey to protect their village. The VN part is a linear kinetic VN with no choices, and it keeps the pace brisk while letting you enjoy the duo's evolving distance and the shadowy worldview. Despite the cute anime-style art, the tone leans serious. At each milestone it naturally shifts into an exploration RPG part, where you push through dungeons. If you hit first on the map you start fights with an advantage, and if you get ambushed you start at a disadvantage, so even movement becomes positioning. The command battles feature detailed presentation such as cut-ins, damage facial expressions, and outfit changes from taking damage. H scenes come with light PNG-style animations, and a recollection feature is also included. Even if you lose you can continue with 1 HP, and if you run out of healing you can restart from a checkpoint-like point, a gentle design that makes it hard to get stuck even in longer dungeons. The game is censored. Gameplay and UI are straight out of the 90's. And the imagery does not make up for it in any way. A waste of time and money.

This is... not a good game. I don't believe any element of this game was successful. Not the story, definitely not the mechanics, and not the sensual elements. As a brief description of what you're in for, the game goes between two states, a visual novel type and what the developer calls "RGP Mode". Let's start with the visual novel sections. It is static backgrounds that I believe are purchased assets, or at least I have seen them used in other games. The story is aggressively dull, told poorly. All cuts being fade out and then fade in. In the battle scene in like chapter 7, every time they fade in to a specific battleground they also pan right. It's so clumsy and slow. The story itself is not good. This is just supposition, but it feels like it was designed in small chapter chunks, then went on hiatus and came back with more chapters, etc. The front half does not feel like the back half and the game basically ends unresolved. The RPG section, if you can believe it, is actually worse. There are only 2 equipment slots (weapon and accessory), spells are learned based on your level. The mana costs go up sharply after the basic spells (high rank elemental spell…

The game runs super slow. It's not even play able. I have had this same experience with two other RPG maker games recently, I think my laptop has good specs and I've played other RPG maker games without much problems so I don't know if it's the game or my laptop. If I can get it working I'll change my review.
