Another great game by Doubles*core. I've played their 3 other games but I didn't enjoy this one as much as the others. Main reason is that I'm not a big fan of the futuristic/mech setting in general. My overall experience was still just as enjoyable as I expected it to be. Gameplay was interesting to figure out, many different ways to build your mech and experimentation was very rewarding with tons of equipment to collect (47 weapons and tools, 38 armors/chips and 52 cores, the equivalent to accessories). The weapon system had some interesting and unique quirks to it, combining an ammo/energy management with a melee/ranged system. I enjoyed all the characters this time around, they're no Qu or Kagaribi but all of them were endearing and had interesting enough backstories, especially Tira. Music was fine, same with the H-scenes, it was all up to par. Took me around 60 hours to finish the game on Deadly but I played slowly and I'm a completionist. Can't wait to play their next game ! I definitely recommend to get this game through the Doubles*core bundle, they're all worth it.

Themes! Actual narrative themes about desire and rejection of reality! Rape porn games have it easy, since they talk about degradation and violence, but do you know how hard it is to find a consensual porn JRPG made after 2002 that has something to say beyond "girls are hot"? Oh, I am definitely looking up whatever else this dev team has worked on. Combat system's fun, but a bit unbalanced, and I switched the difficulty settings up and down a few times. Love interests are fairly different, and I like the combat partner/romantic partner combination. Sometimes I tried the same missions with different love interests just to see different banter. Protag kinda feels like he walked out of an isekai on Royal Road, but he's allowed to be wrong sometimes and to have nuances to his personality. P.S. Make sure to limit the frame rate to avoid crashes. It's a known issue with RPG Maker MV.

Ignore my playtime, I played this game in full via DLSite, and genuinely lost sleep due to how much fun I was having. This game is amazing. It excels in every place it intends to, from gameplay to art, but let's start with the thing that ties it all together: the characters. The character writing in this game is nothing less than Stellar. Every character you'll meet is bursting with personality and charm and the core cast has tremendous synergy, whilst remaining fun and varied relationships with the MC and each other. Tira, our cheery and resilient 'main' girl and engineer. Lunya, our old mercenary friend, relentless tease and flirt. Kukori, the warm and gentle mystery girl with deep well of hidden courage. Absolute hyperchad Heath. Linking them all together is the MC, who in spite of his stoicism is often just as humorous and as much of a personality as his companions. Thankfully, you're also given plenty of time with them to get to know them and just as importantly, flesh out their friendships with each other beyond the MC. The story makes use of this to the fullest by weaving the character stories into the main narrative, giving chances to explore both who these people …

[h1] Yet another banger from doubles*core [/h1] Remember how From Frontier had lots of girls but not a true harem ending? The Cuniculus of Paradise fixes that. And also the lack of interaction between girls in the story (they do get more here in comparison of FF). Gameplay-wise, it is a combination of all previous games into a packed exo (mech) themed RPGM game. What I loved about this is how the sprite of the weapons and the attack animations change when you fully upgrade X weapon so each one has a different cool finishing move. And lots of cool exo designs here I guess, not an expert on that topic tho. Now, what's cool here is that every mission you take, the dialogue changes depending on which girl you bring to the mission. And this time a couple of side characters have portraits (very nice). But yeah, every girl (3) gets a decent amount of story, scenes and usefulness with the game part of cuniculus. You could say this is the perfected FF haha...
