Vinyl Desktop

Purchased for the potential and for liking the concept, leaving a review because of the disappointment. After using it for months, I really can't understand why you can't fix some of the most simple stuff for this simple but very potential music player software. Totally unusable with multiple displays, loses focus constantly, drag and drop type of behavior (which I assume is the most common use case for this) fails constantly. Also becomes unresponsive at random so there's no way to trust the application to do what it's supposed to (and there are plenty of alternatives). This is not a hardware issue. This really should be usable with multiple displays. Make it work, and it really has a potential to become a proper vinyl deck type of media player. Before that happens, I really cannot recommend it.

Absolutly Goated. I was hesitent but god it worthh it. Ofc its not perfect i want a way to control music like pause play, next song and previous or some kind of system like MD Vinyl mobile app. Ofc last fm is something i dont expect as of now but would also love that. Some kinda queue viewer or Library system would also be great. Till then ill enjoy what i have

Lovely simulation. Works fine even on my ancient hardware with the opengl renderer. I primarily listen to full albums, and since this treats every file as a separate disc needing to be swapped out, the transitions between tracks aren't smooth. The solution actually enhances the experience: simply combining the tracks into 'sides' matching the real vinyl release of the album allows you to listen without gaps, excepting when you need to 'flip' the disc, as you would with a real player. I would appreciate the ability to view the album cover up close without needing to resize the player, maybe even the ability to customize the sleeve and rotate it, though that is likely asking too much. Overall, as I have not encountered bugs, this is easy to recommend as a more tactile and satisfying listening experience for local music.

Not perfect but definitely a great idea and one of my new favorite music players to use.

Very Interesting And Fun Program To Play With

One of the rare finds on Steam that deserves to be shared. The perfect way to play some music with style! But this software allows to play your favorite game and have your fancy Vinyl Desktop over the top also. I didn't need to read any instructions (but eveything is explained in case you want them). Adjust the size, customize the look of the playing mat, drag 1 or many songs, then drop the needle and relax Price is great too.
