Dungeons of Uhr

There's barely any story text in this game, and the looting system feels really confusing. For herbs, you can pick them up by hovering over them and pressing E, but there's zero on-screen prompt for items dropped by monsters. I spent ages figuring out the trick, and it turns out you have to click the item directly with your mouse to pick it up — neither E nor Enter works for looting these drops. The whole interaction feels really unpolished and unintuitive. Worse still, the game suffers from random freezes after you play for a while. Sometimes I'll just get stuck mid-step on the path right after I kill a monster, with no way to move or interact. There's also a game-breaking soft lock that triggers when your whole party gets wiped by enemies while you're deep in a cave: the screen freezes completely, you can't even pull up the UI menu, and there are no in-game save or load functions at all. The only fix left is to force close the entire game, ‌This is so bad‌.

Avoid, this isn't a complete game. I have a friend who is a software engineer that made the equivalent of this in a weekend while stoned. That was better then whatever the hell this Dungeon of Uhr is attempting to be. Dont waste your time or money.

Beware, unplayable as it is, for some if not all : No option in menu for changing screen resolution, and takes what you have in use in your monitor (mine is 16:10) So the dialogues get cut more than half, off the screen, and you can't hire sidekicks in a game that is a party/group game ! Couldn't understand what to do, or make relevant options as hiring a party, etc, because even the screen action buttons aren't shown. Didn't get to play as I spent all my time trying to fix the dialogues problem, even changing values in the regedit, but game always reverted to borked defaults. Pity, liked the world as seen and really wanted to play. Sorry to have to give a negative.
