FAIRY TAIL 2

The first one was good, this is ♥♥♥♥. So dissapointed, do better. And the DLC prices? What the hell....game is a total rip off.

The game is fun, but not as good as the first one in my opinion. I preferred the battle style in the first game over this one. But if you're a Fairy Tail fan, it will not disappoint. I highly recommend this, but do play the Fairy Tail first game and then come to this one if you enjoyed that one. 8/10.

Just like the first game Fairy Tail 2 has the heart of the world and characters down perfectly! I loved playing this game and unlocked all of the achievements. This game makes changes to the combat that allows me to do some things that the first game did not, one of these changes was the ability to play with all of the members of the Fairy Tail guild through my adventure. In the first game you would slowly unlock characters and build your team of 3-5 members to then go do a quest or main objective then come back to the guild hall for a reward and then maybe change your party around before heading back out which in the first game was really fun. In Fairy Tail 2 they let you swap party members out in the middle of combat in real time so it feels like the whole guild is with you! I love Fairy Tail a lot and the ability to use everyone at once was amazing! It felt so cool to be able to fight the enemies while combining my favorite characters together and chaining iconic attacks from the show. One of the best rpg's out there. Game looks beautiful and if your a Fairytail fan this is a MUST PLAY GAME!

Contrary to popular opinion, I actually think this game is a step-up form the first one! I love the new fighting system, where you actually have to react in time but still don't get locked into helpless button-mashing. As someone who would never be able to even fight a single monster in a souls-like game, the difficulty for me was very pleasant, though I understand it might bore some better players. However, it is still an improvement compared to the turn-based style of the first one, which didn't really fit Fairy Tail's vibe, I believe. The leveling system of the characters has also seen improvement in my opinion. instead of leveling random characters that you never play with points you gain in missions, you now have to actually use them in fights if you want to level them equally. The leveling now is branched, you get to choose which abilities to put points into first, etc. I quite enjoyed it. HOWEVER, the crafting system at the magic cauldron was annoying garbage and I want nothing to do with it.
