Key Features
- More Flash & Flair! The world of Fencers and fairies gets updated with a 1080p graphic overhaul! Fairizing never looked so good.
- Really Reluctant Hero With a hero more interested in his next meal and a fairy partner who will have none of it, this saving-the-world narrative is injected with oodles of madcap humor!
- High Tension! Increase the Tension gauge in battle by dealing and receiving damage. The higher it is, the more damage you’ll dish. Once it’s high enough, you’ll be able to Fairize – combining with your fairy to create a super-powerful form!
- Fairy’s Fate Find fairies to join you in your quest – only they can grant you special abilities, and by leveling them up you’ll also increase your effect radius in…

Fairy Fencer F, developed by Idea Factory and Compile Heart and published by Idea Factory International, is a traditional JRPG that embraces many of the genre’s familiar conventions while attempting to inject personality through its characters and tone. Set in a fantasy world shaped by an ancient war between a goddess and a vile god, the story revolves around magical weapons called Furies and the warriors who wield them. The narrative follows Fang, an unwilling and often comically selfish protagonist who becomes entangled in a quest to gather these powerful relics, accompanied by a cast of eccentric allies. From the outset, the game makes it clear that while the premise carries serious undertones, the storytelling leans heavily into humor and character-driven interactions. The narrative is one of the game’s more engaging aspects, largely due to its cast. Fang’s reluctant hero persona contrasts with the more earnest or exaggerated personalities of his companions, creating a steady flow of dialogue that mixes lighthearted banter with occasional attempts at deeper themes. The writing often prioritizes humor, sometimes to the point where dramatic moments lose their impact, but it also…1 found this helpful

You're not gonna like this game if you're not a JRPG methhead
This game is great, i even replayed it to go for 100%.
best played when home alone. not erotic, just really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cringey
Dated but a good example of a typical JRPG from the early 2010s. Notably there is a remake of this game from 2017 with a more in-depth combat system and more story content (Advent Dark Force) however that does not stop this game being a lot of fun in it's own right. Gameplay is quite shallow and progression can be grindy but due to low difficulty you can often advance to stages beyond your level and then accelerate character growth that way. Dungeon modifier system is very fun and adds something different to grinding. Music is fantastic with form changes and ultimate moves getting a theme song, voice acting is very over the top which is typical of the time period and the general interactions between characters are a lot of fun. 3 Endings (Normal/ Eryn/Tiara) influenced by whichever heroine you interact with the most during down time. First run through of story took me around 17 hours of gameplay (reading all events and sub-events with minimal grinding) but the two heroines having separate endings and the two hidden party members mean that the second playthrough does provide additional content if you enjoy it the first time around.
