Instruments of Destruction

Fun destruction game. The main campaign is about prebuilt vehicles (~8 hours to 100%), but there is a separate, smaller campaign (~5 hours to 100%) where you can build your own stuff, and you also can use any vehicle in any level once you beat it with 3 stars, including ability to edit any of the campaign prebuilt vehicles, and Steam Workshop support. Music is great, destruction is good, there's even a story and voice acting. There also is a level editor in Sandbox mode. Camera and controls can be very annoying and finnicky on certain vehicles though. A nitpick, but there are no per level leaderboards.

A fun quick arcade style game, catch it on sale and just have fun, no real depth or complications, just chaos and destruction

i could build my OWN vehicle weapon! AND i can use OTHER PEOPLE'S vehicle weapons TOO! :)

a bit like a BeamNG if all the vehicles were horrible to drive

its a really nice game but the devs need to fix the workshop because when you load something in it just freezes and doesn't work

This game is HILARIOUS. Awesome retro music is perfect accompaniment to the very retro "doing what we want because we can" style game. The story is funny, the voice acting good, the handler makes me laugh. "I don't make the rules, I just tell you when you have to follow them." Such impractical (and of questionable utility) construction devices as the Contender, a vehicle built around an enormous hydraulic ram, the Bombowler, which shoots high explosive wrecking balls, and the Bulldozer+, which is much like a normal bulldozer except... it can also hover. A ground-pounding bowling ball, lasers, rockets, a surprisingly destructive Thopter straight out of Dune... 10/10. Don't come into it expecting an epic story with twists and turns, but do come prepared for extremely over the top destruction. And it kinda leaves me wanting to replay Red Faction...
