18 Wheels of Steel: Convoy represents a formative era in trucking simulation, arriving at a time when the genre was still experimenting with structure, pacing, and identity. Developed by SCS Software and published by Cosmi Valusoft, it builds on the foundation laid by earlier entries while introducing more dynamic road interactions and a greater emphasis on business progression. The game places players in the role of a long-haul trucker traveling across a condensed version of North America, taking deliveries, selecting contracts, and gradually establishing a financial foothold in the transport industry. Unlike later SCS titles, which lean toward realism and meditative driving, Convoy maintains a noticeable arcade edge—faster pacing, more aggressive AI, and game systems that push players toward active route management rather than leisurely cross-country cruising. The result is a trucking simulator that feels more energetic and intentionally gamified, reflecting its mid-2000s PC gaming origins. Driving remains the core experience, and Convoy delivers a blend of simulation and accessibility. I played this game 15 years ago in my teens. I've been playing ATS and I just found this on steam it was on sale for $5 and I grabbed it. downloaded in 5 seconds, Game started in 1 Second and loaded into game in 3 Seconds and I was instantly driving a truck. So easy, so simple. Yes the graphics are terrible in comparison to modern day standards. not nearly as many options as "New" games. But if you just want a quiet simple trucking game to play with little to no headache. just hop on here for awhile.

An excellent idea regarding the new gameplay in the form of various missions that we need to complete, everything else is a half-finished product. I wouldn't even say a half-finished product, but as if someone took the game out of the early development phase and decided to publish it. Waste of time and money.
