About 18 Wheels of Steel: Hard Truck
The truck driving game that started it all: be your own boss behind the wheel of your big rig in SCS Software's first truck driving simulator. Bid on jobs, then hit the road to deliver faster than the competition. Road hazards, low fuel and even the police can affect the timeliness and condition of your deliveries—and impact your bottom line. It's all in a day's work when you're driving big rigs.

18 Wheels of Steel: Hard Truck, developed by SCS Software and Sunstorm Interactive and published by Cosmi ValuSoft, represents one of the formative steps in the evolution of commercial trucking simulations on PC. It arrived at a time when simulation games were still finding their audiences, yet it managed to carve out a niche with surprising confidence. What stands out most today is how clearly the game articulates its respect for the trucking profession, portraying it not as a novelty activity but as a demanding livelihood that blends patience, caution, strategy, and endurance. Its a good game but has issues when driving along like hitting nothing and your truck comes to a dead stop with damage, this game features trucks that you can upgrade. You do jobs and deliver cargo within a time limit. No controller support, you have to use steam input and download a community input for your controller. Some trucks wont pick up speed when driving from 0-40. Over all its a good game. 4/10
First day at work kinda game.
I used to play this a lot with a friend of mine when I was a kid. I was pleasantly surprised to find this game on steam and how well it works on Windows 11. The game still is a lot of fun but there is not really any reason to play this over ATS/ETS unles you're nostalgic for it or wonder what SCS's first trucking game was like.
