I like this game. For the casual gamer this is a great game. Story is simple to follow and the game play is not to challenging. I would recommend this game to any casual gamer who likes side scrolling adventure games. Plays well on the Steam Deck.

Being new to the genre is probably the reason I enjoyed this one, flaws and all. The music is good and that final credits song (the good ending) goes pretty hard, but that ends up being negatively balanced with incredibly short looping, that will drive you insane. The music had this sense of fantasy and adventure, which never sounded too dark, which felt thematic to the game. Character models look goofy and environments are a bit lackluster, but the music somehow made it feel like this whimsical adventure. Then there's the gameplay; I thought the mechanics were interesting enough, and the various weapon types all feel different. But once you experience it, there isn't a whole lot that stands out. All the weapons feel the same, just in 3 categories: sword, lance, and broadsword. There was some variation like some had fire enhancements or poison, but you'd tend to find something stronger so there never was much time to experiment. The magic was interesting but just like the weapons, it felt held back. Lastly the difficulty. I don't think I'm very good at these games. After ~82 hours, I got all achievements including the no hit bosses. The game felt fair, but I think I cheesed i…

Great little hidden gem of a challenging metroidvania.
