"5 Crowns" doesn't seem to have been made with the godawful blight on gaming that is the RPG Maker asset/construction kit... but it's almost completely indistingishable from an asset flip churned out with it. Instead, it's SRPG Studio... yeah, somehow, a game construction kit exists that's even worse than RPG Maker. And this garbage is the inevitable result. This is a bunch of stock SRPG Studio assets combined with a high school anime club dropout fan-fiction. It doesn't seem to be one of those fan-fictions about the authors imaginary girlfriend, instead this one is a painfully generic bore about a mercenary company, with lots of really garbage writing, punctuated by a little bit of stock SRPG Studio engine gameplay of deplorably low quality. You do get to do some really badly done turn based tactical combat, this is probably a little better than RPG Makers weak ripoff of Final Fantasy's terrible turn based 2D sideview billboard combat... but it's still awful. As a construction kit kitbash/asset flip, this doesn't contain much in the way of original game assets, it's just a bunch of pixelcrap assets from the construction kit combined with that all too common high school anim…3 found this helpful
