Crown and Adventure

Game had an update months after being abandoned by the devs. No word on what this update is or does. Their discord is overrun with scam bots. I would not download this game.

Amazing game. I would recommend buying this over the new Brigandine game any day of the week. From art direction to gameplay, this is one of the top Brigandine-likes on the market. There's only one problem...I wish there was more of this! The replay value of both campaign and conquest mode isn't quite there, so I would love to see an expansion or sequel announcement for this in the future :)

I recommend, but there's some serious caveats which I will go into down below. Gameplay is a strong recommend, but the other factors make it neutral. This is an odd little gamie that scratches a VERY specific niche itch, and if you enjoyed any of the games I mention, this is for you. I've been told this is similar to Sands of Salazar, but I can't comment as I haven't spent time with that game. Crown and Adventure is a wuxia mix between Mount & Blade (map, campaign gameplay); Dragon Force/Generations of Chaos for the real time battle system (bonus points if you remember any of these games); and a touch of cultivation games for the party management and self-improvement. It works very, very well and I've been hooked for the past few days. Sadly, it's also the closest thing we'll ever get to another Dragon Force or Generations of Chaos. You can bring some truly huge groups into battle and it's a lot of fun. Now for the bad: -Even though there are Eurocentric and middle eastern nations in the game, it is VERY Chinese, and not in a digestible Dynasty Warriors kind of way. Very Good gameplay concept, but need improved bug and end game storyline

I liked this game and would rec to anybody that is a fan of this genre. The scale of the battles is pretty impressive for an OG like me. If you add all the legions and allies, it can go past 1000 units probably. Games has come a long way. With that said, it has some serious flaws. Its very easy in the campaign mode to skip big parts of the story and characters and go right to the end. Personally, I think they should have referred to Brigandine on how to do the story from different kingdoms point of views. Campaign needs more characters! Some of the character designs are ok but many are pretty lack luster. The Conqueror mode.. Barricade and Turrets are way too op.. At least let the legions combine before the battle like how it is in the campaign..
