A Tale In The Garden is a short, slow-paced, story-driven point-and-click game. 🌼 I REALLY struggled while playing. I kept going back and forth like, “should I uninstall?” or “am I even enjoying this?” Everything was really nice at first… until around day 3 or 4??? The in-game days stopped counting. I ended up watering plants for like 6 extra days, just hoping something would happen lol. I could still go to bed and “end” the day, but nothing progressed. not gonna lie, i was really considering not keep going, and uninstall here.. But I restarted the game, and that fixed it… for a while. Then on day 9, grandma got stuck. 😭 luckily, replaying day 8 solved that one too. At this point i really did think ''Can i really recommend this'' But then… I reached the ending. And yeah. It made it worth it. It reminded me so much of my own grandma, who also loved gardening and kept going with it until her last days. The story really hit me. Like, properly hit. The whole mix of flowers, the garden, the relationship, and the dementia theme was just beautiful and also a little heartbreaking. I rarely leave reviews, but this online game absolutely deserves the praise. From the moment I launched it, I was hooked. The developers have woven a real-life story into the gameplay, making it feel meaningful and emotionally engaging. It’s not just a game—it feels like you’re stepping into someone’s lived experience. The graphics are beautiful. The visual atmosphere pulls you in instantly. It’s rare to find a game that feels personal, and tells a story that sticks with you. Highly recommended to anyone who loves immersive worlds and heartfelt storytelling!8 found this helpful
A short and sweet little game! I didn't expect the shift in tone that becomes a bit dark at times; I would be a bit nervous whenever that happens huhu6 found this helpful
It's funny how I knew the story and still cried a bunch. It's sweet, sad and peaceful at the same time. Beautiful! Totally a masterpiece. I loved from start to finish and still needed a few moments to recover. I can't wait for more games, really beautiful!6 found this helpful
Short and bittersweet. Knowing (or guessing) the story doesn’t diminish the experience. Works well on Steam Deck, also.5 found this helpful
Omg, this was such an unexpected and emotional story! Everything is so well crafted: the narrative that keeps you engaged and wondering what really happened to Filomena until the very end; the music that successfully and delicately accentuates it, and obviously the visuals that make it such a cozy game. Congrats to Dream Outpost team for betting for an older woman as the main character and for such a topic to be examined on a videogame. Really looking forward to your next release! PS. played on Mac and had 0 bugs.2 found this helpful
