VR Walking Simulator

I know at least one of the nine maps is a complete asset flip (and maybe they all are). Even if only one of them is, however, it's still a subpar VR nature walking simulator type game. The graphics are poor, the gameplay is limited, and the experience is buggy. The whole point of VR walking simulators or nature meditation apps, is for the user to enjoy the visuals. You want to be transported to beautiful or unique worlds that you could not otherwise visit, but through the magic of VR you can be transported there and be immersed in mesmerizing worlds. There are some nice looking spots in this game, but for the most part, this game fails in providing that one with nature, zen-type experience. This game is buggy, you'll clip through several objects. There's several pathing issues. There are several areas of most of the maps where you can see the mesh wasn't set up properly so you can see through the map and sometimes see a completely different looking ground than what you're standin…

Disclaimer: I've received this game for free via Curator Connect. VR Walking Simulator is a nature exploration experience similar to A Walk in the Woods or Nature Trecks VR. And it's not nearly as good as the latter due to abundance of glitches and overall lack of polish. Alien Forest level is actually quite nice - it has the least amount of noticeable bugs and looks unique. But the rest of the levels are not nearly as good, most of them are similar looking continental European nature scenes with low resolution skyboxes and objects that pop in and out of existence depending on viewing angle. Overall environments in VR Walking simulator are not nearly as beautiful and diverse as Nature Trecks' levels. Visuals are a bit uneven: trees are detailed and rivers look decent, while grass and terrain severely lack polygons even on maximum graphical settings. VR Walking Simulator goes for the realistic visuals but never quite reaches it. As a whole, it looks and performs slightly better then A Walk in The Woods, but this is a very low bar:) Spatial sound is very immersive, except for footsteps sounds that are the same for every surface. P.S. The game works on Reverb G2 just fine.

[h1]Chill Immersive Fieldtrips[/h1] VR Walking Simulator is something simple: Players will take a nice and quiet walk through the woods in virtual reality with an ingame polaroid camera to capture photos of a variety of levels. The idea of games with no objectives or enemies is interesting, but it means there’s not much to keep most players engaged after they’ve explored each map. I’m aware some people like to relax in VR headsets and meditate and I wonder if VR Walking Simulator would work for that. The music and background noises are perfect as they are relaxing and mostly quiet. I should probably add that the VR version of the game worked mostly perfectly for me, but when I tried changing the settings the game went a little crazy, and because of the camera interface, I ended up with a LOT of Steam screenshots of myself stuck under the floor. Once my pure panic stopped, I was able to figure out how to adjust the settings. There is also a non-VR version that runs very smoothly, complete with the camera for screenshots. kept getting disk write error messages after installing this game and updates, had to disable the Avast Antivirus shields to finish installing and updating this game, I don't know why I had to do this just for this particular game, I never had to do that for any of my other games I bought from Steam, hope updates fixes some of these issues with this game, other than that the walking around and exploring places is pretty good

I know it sounds stupid but I really didn't know that a VR game required a VR headset. I've never bought a VR game or a VR headset before. I think it should be in the description for clueless people like me.
