Prolly the most underrated thing this decade1 found this helpful
I bought this when it released on PS4 and it was the most amazing experience I have ever had with a video game. I never engaged with PvP in other games, but as someone who has practiced several martial arts, this felt different, almost like a real fight. After 400 hours on PS4 and now 40 on PC I can safely say that Absolver is an amazing martial arts game with a feel unlike any other action/fighting game. Absolver gives you complete freedom creating your own moveset and martial arts style. Want to be a pure boxer? A nak muay? Taekwando practitioner? You can make any fighter you want, given you learn the moves. Some bugs harshen the experience, noticeable lag makes it difficult to play online, defensive moves (dodges, parries, blocks) all have their own bugs that make them not work 100% of the time. Online community is mostly dead, PvP locked content is probably going to be forever locked away. Unless you can somehow convince someone to let you kill them literally thousands of times, you aren't going to reach combat level 1000+, which is required to buy some of the items in the essence shop. If you like PvE, the Downfall expansion helps prolong your experience. Overall, this is a…

Super underrated fighting game!
I like this game, but not many people play it. T^T
To begin with, the idea behind the system mechanics is amazing. I love the idea behind the game, and I enjoy the art style quite a bit. It reminds me of Ashen, but with a more complex combat system. As much as I'd love to recommend this game, it'd only be worth purchasing during this 90% sale as paying $30 is not worth what you get. An Absolver 2 would genuinely feed families where they expanded on the combat system and most importantly resolved the major issues of the game, when it comes to consistent bugs stated below. It's sad that the amazing concept of this game is just forgotten about Unbelievably horrible management from the developers on the part of actually making sure that the timing and consistency with blocking, parrying, and dodging all worked. Half the time I'm blocking, full stamina bar, and I take damage to the same move I just blocked. Not to mention the random lag when entering areas which makes it so that I have to relaunch the game in order to actually be able to play since all my hits register 1 second after I hit them, and all the hits I take immediately register. On the same note, parrying has the smallest window I've ever seen, and half the time it makes 0 …
