About Actua Golf
Actua Golf is a remastered version of the classic 1996 golf sim that puts you on the course across multiple play modes with fully 3D environments, motion-captured swings, and legendary commentary from golf's most iconic voices. Compete solo or with up to 4 players in stroke play, match play, skins, amateur and pro tours across two challenging 18-hole courses while customizing your golfer's path to greatness.

Play with up to 4 players. By default, the game operates round-robin style, with a single controller being handed around for each player's turn. To play instead with a single controller for each player, first set the desired number of players on the main menu, then go to Controls > Controller and assign a different controller to each player.
This enhanced version introduces a number of modern features to this retro classic, including:
- Saving/loading the game at any point
- Support for most modern game controllers

Players praise Actua Golf as a faithful, nostalgic PS1 emulation with solid gameplay, good commentary, and charming retro aesthetics that appeals to longtime fans of the original. However, some criticize it for having dated graphics and report progression issues, such as being unable to advance to the professional tour after winning the amateur tournament, which limits the game's longevity and value.
(review edited for non-game reasons) Meanwhile, Actua golf is a very competent and precise emulation of a Playstation game retaining all of its original and endearing features and style, with a very convenient Steam-compatible UI overlay, and is very good. Graphics are faux digitised but work, commentary is excellent and makes you wonder why audio has improved so little in sports games. I hit a tree, whack. Game 10/10 for nostalgia. Charming game, but as far as I can tell saving does not work. Trying to load your save crashes the game. I tried a few things, and couldn't get it to work. This means you can't build a golf career and play in the pro tournament. I still recommend the game though because it's still a lot of fun.
The Games plays very good but I won the amateur league and it wont let me play the pro tore part, so the game lacks proper competitions to make it a better golf game, but I play all the computer players and pretend its a long season trying to lower my 85 ranking to reach number one, the commentary is brilliant which helps the game flow nicely, I recommend this game to those who want to have fun, 8 out of 10
