WGT Golf

I would have recommended this game before it switched ownership but after it switched ownership it has lost value and seems more like a money grab now that the new owners have taken over.

I’ve played so many golf games over the years, from Leaderboard on the Atari ST to Tiger Woods and PGA Tour. All of which are brilliant in their own way. I don’t need spectacular graphics, but I do need enjoyable gameplay, and WGT feels practically unplayable to me. In fairness, I’ve only played for about 15 minutes, and perhaps I should give it longer. But those 15 minutes have been so unenjoyable that I have absolutely no desire to carry on. Hitting a golf ball should feel satisfying, not like a chore. Yes, it’s free. Unfortunately, that doesn’t make it worth my time. An awful first impression.

this new selection format sucks. Why did you try and fix something that wasent broken?PLEASE GO BACK TO THE WAY IT WAS.

This game is challenging and fun, you are able to customize your Avatar's abilities and clubs. I enjoyed playing "heads-up" against players from all over the world. The greens are very challenging as your putt never seems to stop unless you underpower and shoot again. I disliked the views from some of the shots. Some shots you couldn't see what you are aiming for and if you could see it..., it was too small to actually gauge what might happen to your ball on the shot. Even close shots were not very predictable as the view for chipping from the rough or sand trap was awful. Upgrades for clubs and balls are too expensive for me. I managed to climb to a level just under 70 and the best I could afford with my winnings was ProTour starter clubs. These are slightly better than the clubs given to begin with. I quit playing because, even though I changed my abilities, they would not take effect. I tried numerous times to change them but it never worked for me. I'm going to re-install and see if the problem is still there. Despite the issues I've had. The game is fun and challenging and I would recommend it to anybody who enjoys golf.
