Главный герой способен изменять свойства пещеры, влияя на физику и открывая новые пути. Это добавляет головоломкам глубины и делает прохождение разнообразным. Графика, хоть и проста, выполнена стильно и гармонично, а саундтрек хорошо дополняет атмосферу. Однако, игра не лишена недостатков. Управление порой кажется немного неотзывчивым, что особенно заметно в напряженных моментах платформинга. Сюжет, в целом, довольно прост и служит скорее фоном для геймплея. Также, хотелось бы больше разнообразия во врагах. Тем не менее, интересная механика адаптации, приятный визуальный стиль и увлекательный игровой процесс делают "Adapted Adventures: Crystal Cave" достойной внимания любителей жанра. Игра способна затянуть на несколько часов и подарить массу положительных эмоций, несмотря на небольшие недостатки. Рекомендую!

Adapted Adventures: Crystal Cave is not a game, it's an e-book that's been dumped on Steam masquerading as a game. As a visual/interactive novel, this doesn't feature any notable gameplay, it's just a lot of clicking through badly written dialogue that would never have been accepted or published in print, which poses the question, "How did something this badly written end up on Steam?". When someone hoping to become an author is unable to get published in print, they spend $100 and dump their high school fan-fiction onto Steam, under the guise of a game. This is a weird high school fan-fiction e-book about a bunch of Saturday morning cartoon characters or something that plod through a really badly written and somewhat cringey Choose-Your-Own-Adventure set in some crystal caves. The story is bad, but it's thankfully very short, and the best part about the e-book is that you can uninstall it. Visual novels/e-books are tedious at best... imagine the best novel you ever read, be that Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy or 2001: A Space Odyssey or Twilight (if you have terrible taste in literature), but then translate that to a format where the words dribble out and you have to click …

This is not bad VN. This is very average novel - following on all choices is about 1h. Playing one time would be around 45 minutes. This is pretty short, however maybe it is better, because there are sections with a lot of clicks/enters needed and progression is minimal. The characters nicely developed - easy to distinguish... except... names are not colored and length is very similar, so you might be a little confused if you try to rush it... Choices do not matter that much. The beginning of the game with 7 "choices" feels pointless. Story itself was okay - some things were not well explained, but the created world is okay. Despite not clear morale at the end, it was something to learn... but hard to explain - about being together in team? Well, I hope that if Neo Crystal is going to release next game, they will polish it a bit more and give lengthier story. For anyone looking for good quality, this is title to skip. PS: Music is there, but it was rather disturbing. No voice acting.
