I don't know what kind of crack half of these negative rec folks are smoking. I get that not every game is for everyone, but this was very palatable. This Zelda-like is dope! Better than Blossom Tales 1 and a decent rival to that games sequel (Master Key remains my favourite above all though). I'll get the negatives out of the way first: There are some tricky moments in the final dungeon (though if you find the rune of lethargy, that should help). I will admit that the D-pad handles much better than the control stick--you want to play the game with that. The game recognized my 3rd party Xbox controller without issue. My biggest gripe was with a few scenarios in the late game involving throwing blocks. All I wanted to do was toss a block onto a switch in front of me. ..should be easy right? Well nope, you need to be in a very specific spot and can waste all of your mana attempting it, then have to re-exit the dungeon to regenerate it and try again. This is one thing that really needs to be polished up. Exploration was excellent, with plenty of items and spells to find. The map was good, though there are no dungeon maps. This does add a little frustrati…2 found this helpful

A nice nod to a Link to The Past! I think the reviews are too critical and expected something equal or better to LTTP - which this is not but still worth the money!
Airoheart some really bad controller design that makes the game very much more difficult than it should. Having owned the Super Nintendo and a Link to the Past back in the day I would say this would have been a typical mediocre wanna be of The Legend of Zelda : A Link to the Past. It's passable, but not as will polished as Link to the Past or on the same level as Secret of Gia or Secret of Mana though. Link to the Past has a faster pace action. I could only get my Logitech Gamepad F310 to work with the game.
The title screen made a good first impression—until you start a new game. After the intro, you realize that while you can move up and down with the controllers left stick, you can’t move left or right. The D-pad works fine in all directions, which suggests that the controller support was simply poorly implemented for a "Zelda-like" game. I can’t comment on the gameplay, since I’m not going to play the game any further. The price of the game is just as bad as the controller support...
the vibes are charming and the story is interesting but it's let down by the level design. Everything is so troll based, you lift a pot there's a bomb, you lift another pot and it's a static shock, another pot and its a bomb. mimic chests, random statues on the wall poking you, enemies pushing you off the edge on an icy floor etc. Also the game is reaaallly dark, and there's no brightness setting, so good luck dealing with all those traps in a dark dungeon you can barely see. At least give me a torch spell or something. Worst offense are the enemy hitboxes, sometimes you'll hit them, sometimes their shields, and sometimes not at all and they just walk right trough and hurt you, which makes it extra frustrating when you are standing in ice and are gonna get pushed off. Overall is a a good game but let down by all the frustrating stuff, so i cant really recommend anyone to go trough this, i would love to see a sequel though where they improve and fix all of this, there's deff a lot of potential here
