Aisling and the Tavern of Elves

Foreword: I bought this game because I am a lover of beautiful elves. Aisling and the Tavern of Elves promised me just that, and it delivered. Aesthetics: The main character is a human fighter. A baron tasked you to help an elf out of debt by running a tavern for her. There are two romanceable characters (Cara and Saoirse), and the sexy baroness is sadly not one of them. The story is predictable but ok. Visually, the game is acceptable; the character sprites are not at the Liv Tyler level of elven beauty, but what is? The music and sound effects were forgettable. Functionality: It has the required features of a visual novel; however, I encountered a weird bug with the naughty patch not working and the gallery not showing any images. I might have caused it myself, however, by downloading the patch while the game was running, so it might just've been my mistake. Enjoyment: I enjoyed myself despite only seeing the mountain river and seashore (no yuri love;((( )... beat the game in < 22 minutes got all the achievements(I speed read and adjusted config to my max rate). Now I wanted the stickers and I just realized you need to play the game for 2 hours to get them. I guess time to play for real at a "normal rate"?

A short visual novel that is worth the price. The overall story had many ups and downs, yet I still found myself enjoying story. Though many will feel the story ended to fast, the amount we get for the price is good. All the short stories feel like they end to fast because we want more, yet still enjoy the short stories overall. Well if you are still deciding wait for a sale.

Those who hunt elf waifus tavern version. Also, yuri only! You play as Aisling, a female mercenary, who just got tricked into owning a tavern. Moreover, the tavern comes with an elf barmaid in tow. Now, what do you make when life gives you lemons? Well, you make some drinks or something. Well, here as well. When you get a tavern you might as well try to make the best out of it. The extra elf, the previous owner, will sure come in handy. As you adapt to your new role as the boss of the newly acquired establishment, new challenges arise. Threat not, new elves appear randomly to aid you. On top of all that, you can also capture their hearts, to make one of them your elven bride. Sweet deal, right? That's the summary of the events unfolding as you absorb the story. There are several choices along the way, which will steer you onto one of the two paths, each with two outcomes. A total of four endings can be found here. Two good and two bad. Worry not, the choices telegraph well which path you're on. All can be completed in a few short hours easily. Not a long read. I would say this game is not worth it at full price ($7 at time of review). It's short, it's shallow, and the plot is at a breakneck pace. It's literally just like: Intro, problem, solution, new character, problem, solution, new character, problem, solution, love confession, mediocre sex scene (if you have the R18 patch), conclusion. Also the CG gallery and skipping seen text doesn't work, there's only like two CGs (six with the patch), and the branching of the story only happens basically at the second to last choice. There are several choices that only give you like two different lines of dialogue. However, it was far from a "bad" story. I've paid higher for worse. It was still enjoyable and fun to read. It just is probably the VN with the least amount of effort I've seen. More effort probably went into the arguably false advertising trailer than the game. "Epic Fantasy Isekai". I don't think they know the definition of the words "epic" or "isekai".
