Potions explode like popcorn every recipe is a patience test and I still don’t see alchemy here.

Alchemyland felt like a cheap card game, and I really didn’t enjoy it. Just bad all around for me, with very little to recommend. I’d skip this one.

Why do you even grind?

Alchemland is a magical land where wizards of gnomes, elves, orcs live, where the miracle-grass of Mandrake grows and terrible Leviathans are found.

Alchemyland is a small-scale fantasy-themed indie project developed and published by azimuth team that sets out to combine light role-playing elements, resource collection, and casual puzzle mechanics within an alchemical setting. The game introduces players to a whimsical world populated by classic fantasy races and magical flora, framing the experience around discovery, experimentation, and the idea of crafting mystical substances from the natural world. On paper, this premise suggests a relaxed but engaging alchemy-focused RPG, one that emphasizes curiosity and gradual mastery over combat or high-stakes action. In practice, the current experience feels heavily constrained by its limited scope and unfinished state. The core gameplay loop centers on gathering various resources—plants, insects, fish, and other fantasy ingredients—and engaging with a memory-matching puzzle that serves as the primary means of progression. While this mechanic is easy to understand and accessible to virtually any player, it quickly becomes repetitive due to a lack of variation or meaningful escalation. [h2]What?[/h2] I don't know what I just played. It was sorta like a memory game, with some other weird stuff on the side. I didn't get very far, but it didn't really catch my attention. I'm sure you can see for yourself that I'm in the majority, especially with a mostly negative review score. Heck, the music abruptly stopped while I was playing and I was left with dead silence. Another pointer, is that the game is still in early access, and it has been seven years, so um, make with that what you will. Five of the seven achievements also popped when I launched the game, pretty sure that's a bug and completely unintentional. I could go on, but in the five minutes I played, there were way too many issues for me to even consider giving this a thumbs up.
