About Alchemist: The Potion Monger
Alchemist: The Potion Monger is a mixture of simulation puzzle and RPG game, in which you can leave your lab, venture into the world, and change it with your brews!
Take the role of apprentice of the alchemical arts, in a world full of anthropomorphic (described or thought of as having a human form or human attributes ~Merriam-Webster) animals!
Choose your character "Race" from a wide array of animal types, with their strengths and weaknesses.
And begin your alchemical journey!
BREW POTIONS
Use various alchemical (and not only... - demonic altars, holly waters, time-controlling sands, and more) tools to process the ingredients.
Then put them into the cauldron and start brewing!
SELL YOUR BREWS
Residents of the surrounding town and countryside, have their potion needs, fulfill them and become the wealthiest alchemist alive!
USE THEM YOURSELF!
During your adventures, you may need healing, immeasurable strength, insanely high jumps, or even the ability to fly, help yourself and drink one of your brews!
Every potion can also be thrown to create an environmental effect.
Set fires, launch wildlife and NPCs into the air, or make the whole village throw up!
Do good, bad, or just have fun - the whole world is your playground.
EXPLORE
Venture outside your warm and safe alchemical hut into the world, discover various secrets, meet distinct NPCs, and gather ingredients!
Collect merit badges and then complete the assigned challenge to learn new skills.

Pros: + Best potion crafting system. Better than in Potionomics. It just feels more "alchemist"-way-ish + Game is fun and well passed for about 2-3 hours Pros? +- I guess tutorial is randomized or was problematic but got fixed? Idk, I was having fun at tutorial Cons: - Game is boring after 3 hours - You will likely finish this game in 10-15 hours top. Maybe 20 if you really want some 100% true completionist way of playing it. - Narrator is not funny. The lines "go on" "decisive blow" "it will hurt" on repeat if you will start to punch everything in your sight. - Story feels like it just want to "elongate" the playtime rather than giving you any challenge or giving you the freedom to express yourself. You can not sell your potions on the road like some kind of shady dealer. You can not resell it to other merchants. Many locations are doomed to be checked once per playtime just because some main quest needs to be there. World is too big. The only way to even play the game is by being constantly under the weak speed potion - There are "Weak Speed Potion" but there will nowhere to be found "Strong Speed Potion" - Speed potion is applied only on running speed for some reason - Combat …2 found this helpful

The graphics are nothing to write home about and not all the elements feel polished. But the potion making system is super fun, it has a ton of charm, and I've honestly never played a game quite like it. Also, the dev responded in discussion when I was having an issue with a quest, so they definitely care about their game and players. Worth a playthrough!
The game does not show you what aspects the ingredient you are currently holding has,so you dont know what you need to do next, or how that ingredient has been altered <if you keep altered ingredients for later use> the ingredient alteration interface need overhaul, super hard to know what the game wants you to do...I like games that want me to "figure it out" but this games user interface, kills that for me
Initially I thought that the game is not so bad. Until I experienced a bug with a quest item and the game can't go forward. It's way to late in the game to start it from the beginning. The Support team from discord did not help at all. A lot of other users reported the same problem and the devs said that they "can't replicate that", which is odd. Since it has been last updated in 2024 I'm assuming is just another dead game unfortunately. If you get it for free or with a 95% discount, maybe it's ok, but if you have only the option to pay full price - please don't, it doesn't worth it.
A very nice short game. If you have around 15-18 hours i can really recommend
