Ed Miller, a writer, came out unscathed from his car crash down into Brody Canyon, California.
Even though no one was found inside the car wreckage, Ed insists that he was traveling with his wife and daughter. Traumatized by the event, he begins to suffer from severe vertigo. As he starts therapy, he will try to uncover what really happened on that tragic day.
Prepare yourself for a most disturbing investigation inside the human mind: truth is sometimes worse than madness.

Alfred Hitchcock - Vertigo is a 10-hour interactive movie that truly shines through its story rather than its gameplay. I found the premise genuinely interesting. You experience the story from three different perspectives, each bringing you closer to the truth. As Ed Miller, you're a man suffering from the trauma of a past car accident in which he claims to have lost his family. Years later he appears to be reliving the same nightmare all over again. As Dr. Julia Lomas, Ed's psychiatrist, you try to help him overcome his trauma while investigating his memories. Are the things he remembers actually true or has his mind unconsciously rewritten them to protect him? And as Sheriff Nick Reyes, you investigate the present day accident and try to determine whether it is connected to Ed's past accident. The details seem eerily similar, except for one thing. A woman named Faye was supposed to have died in the accident, yet her body is nowhere to be found. Is she nothing more than a figment of Ed's imagination? Is he truly losing his mind? Or...? Overall this is a very hard to recommend game. The controls are slow and clunky, the QTEs are pretty lame. The story is the biggest thing going for this title. Play it if you can get it cheap.
