Alone in the War is another mostly-asset flipped cash grab from Fabio Cunha. This one is a 2.5D/iso shooter with some generic military/soldier asset flips. It's badly put together and shouldn't be taken seriously as a game, because that's not the point of this. And yes, that is a problem. Like most lazy asset flip cash grabs, there's no real gameplay here, it's just a matter of shoving the assets in a blender and seeing if it builds and runs enough for this to be dumped on Steam, and dumped it was, with a laughable $10 USD price tag for a lame asset flip. An important note: Fabio Cunha are known asset flippers and have previously taken other developers work and put it on Steam in an attempt to scam gamers and get paid for someone else's effort. Fabio Cunha have shown a repeated pattern of trying to scam gamers, here are some examples of other asset flip scams they've pulled:

"Robot Warriors" = AKG: Action Game Kit developed by Mijikai Games
"Square Head Zombies 2 - FPS Game" = [url=…

I am not sure in what kind of war I got myself into, but I am armed with guns killing guys who mostly run around with sticks, while stealing pirate treasure from them. Unfortunately, the game has several issues that hinder the experience. Guns have no sound, the minimap is terrible and weird, and the camera is way too close to the character, making it hard to see anything. I often found myself asking, "Why did all colors decide to gang up against blue? Why am I alone in the war? What happened to the other blues? What kind of war is this?" Most of the time, I don't know where I am shooting. I have to rely on the minimap because I can barely see anything else. New weapons come with literally 1-2 bullets, and there are no bullets to pick up on maps. Enemies clip through walls, which is never a good sign. You can't shoot through grass, and my desktop mouse is visible even after restarting the game, which is quite distracting. Additionally, Steam achievements only pop up when you exit the game. I don't like writing negative reviews, especially since I know how much time and effort goes into creating a game, but Alone in the War needs a lot more polishing before it becomes shelf-read…
EARLY-ACCESS REVIEW
Has potential, but is so far unfinished. If you're going to play it now, don't play the second map yet. The buttons once you finish the level don't work, so it freezes the game. Apart from not being complete, there are some major issues with controls and movement. It's a third-person view, but it is angled weird and a lot of the time the buildings and environment block your view. The camera is zoomed in way too far and as of yet, there's no camera controls. You have to hold the RMB to aim while clicking the LMB to shoot. I think it would be better for the reticle to simply aim where you point your mouse, and LMB click to shoot. You know, like every other shooter ever made for PC. E brings up the map, blocking half the screen, and R is Reload, which you're often doing on the run. This means it's easy to accidentally bring up the map when you mean to reload. There's no way to pause or bring up anything to remind you what the controls are, and they don't stay on screen long enough to read them all. You're given a few different guns, but only ammo for your pistol, and no way yet to get ammo. You also cannot yet upgrade those other …

Alone in the War, developed and published by Sabrina Aridi, is a small, introspective indie title that places players in the role of a solitary survivor trying to endure the aftermath of conflict. Rather than focusing on large-scale battles or cinematic action, the game narrows its scope to a personal perspective, emphasizing isolation, uncertainty, and the quiet tension of navigating a hostile environment alone. It presents itself as a grounded experience, where the emotional weight of being cut off from support is just as important as the mechanical challenge of staying alive. The gameplay centers on exploration, resource management, and occasional encounters with danger. Players move through environments marked by destruction, searching for supplies that are essential to survival while remaining alert to threats that can appear without warning. The mechanics are intentionally simple, allowing players to quickly understand how to move, interact, and defend themselves. This accessibility works in the game’s favor, but it also limits the depth of the experience. Encounters rely on basic positioning and timing, and there are few opportunities to approach situations in significantly…
