aMAZE, but in 3D. it's an isometric view. It's not like mazes are inherently stimulating, but I feel like it takes an extra kind of effort to make them boring. There are 50 puzzles, 1 music track? Mazes aren't really that great and just feel pretty random overall. Eh... I don't know, I guess I just don't like this one. Maybe the first game was an anomaly.

aMAZE 3D is a compact, minimalist puzzle game that takes the familiar logic of classic maze navigation and reframes it within a three-dimensional space. Developed and published by Blender Games, it belongs to the broader aMAZE series, a collection of small, focused puzzle titles known for their simplicity and low barrier to entry. Rather than attempting to reinvent the maze genre, aMAZE 3D refines it into a calm, spatial challenge that emphasizes observation, patience, and directional awareness over speed or reflexes. The core gameplay is straightforward: players guide a small ball through a 3D labyrinth toward a goal cube. Movement is controlled with standard directional inputs, and there are no enemies, timers, or penalties beyond getting lost or choosing inefficient routes. What distinguishes aMAZE 3D from its 2D counterparts is the added depth dimension, which forces players to think vertically as well as horizontally. aMaze 3D follows the simple mechanics of its predecessors. You just have to move a sphere toward the end of a maze to complete the stage, with maps getting larger and slightly more complex as you progress. The Unity engine allowed the developer to create a 3D environment and add weight to the ball you control. For some reason, the map is zoomed in, meaning you no longer have a full scope of the labyrinth and often don’t know where you’re going. Even worse, the already slow movement, a staple of the aMaze series, is made even worse here, with the sphere taking several seconds just to accelerate and even more when you desire to change direction. This may be the worst entry in the series.
