Dreaming of having bought it | KAMGUSTA's MINI REVIEW I bought it, but developers said they ran out of activation codes, so I waited. And waited. Months. They never delivered. I had to buy it again. All I got was a ball randomly bouncing around with fuzzy physics in uninteresting levels with precision platforming and insta-death. As strange as it may seem, the first games (free Flash games dating back to 2007-2008) were better. They are included. You can also create your own levels. All to cover a poorly executed, unsuccessful and half baked game. Two years after launch, there are only 58 reviews. Best played with joypad Recommended buy price: 1$ (twice?) Fun and challenging platformer, but skip the last 7 level for your own sanity2 found this helpful
Always fondly remembered playing the first game as a kid numerous years ago and trying to bounce as high as possible on the springs. Only recently found out about this sequel. Awesome!2 found this helpful
Remember Amberial during the Flash days? I do. The visuals and sounds are great, okay'ish difficulty, the Atelier/Level Editor is a long overdue addition but good nonetheless and the Arcade is nostalgic. I don't have a comment about the story since I didn't care much about it. It's a pretty solid game.1 found this helpful
Amberial Dreams is a surprisingly deep physics-based platformer that completely won me over despite my initial skepticism about the no-jump mechanic — once it clicks, navigating levels by building momentum and using the environment feels incredibly satisfying and unique. The controls and physics are polished to a fine shine, and the three-medal system (Sun, Moon, Wing) gives each level real replay value whether you're a casual player or a speedrunner chasing tight par times. It's a genuine love letter to the old Flash games, and having the original Amberial titles included as bonus content is a fantastic touch for longtime fans. The level editor is a cherry on top, with an active community already creating clever stages worth exploring. For the asking price, the amount of content here is generous and the core gameplay loop is just plain fun — easy recommendation.
Amberial Dreams

Time Played:
30-ish minutes before giving up to idle for cards.
Last Played:
13th of December, 2025

While I remember disliking the demo to this, I then needed to get it for a Fanatical Bundle to give a discount, something that got me a bit excited on seeing it has Christmassy levels in the community contributions. Unfortunately, on just playing the tutorial, I was reminded of why I de-wishlisted it at first...
Yay:
+ Very favoured art. + Atmospheric + Colourful + A level editor is included.
Meh:
~ Nothing to report.
Nay:
- Character art did not fit the rest of the aesthetic, I feel. - The character handling is some of the absolute least-favourable I've ever encountered. You bounce at the slightest incline, yet are way too heavy, sideways momentum is way too large, and lastly, no jump button is present.. Merely playing the tutorial is enough to signal how completely unwieldy your avatar is, and the fact something this “alpha build” feeling was kept in the final game outright baffles me. - No brake exists, either, and you need to be dead-on-the-…
