About ANGEL WHISPER - The Suspense Visual Novel Left Behind by a Game Creator.
\ (Voice Actor: Ai Shimizu)
This is more than just a video game trailer; it's a personal plea to you.
Due to circumstances, I am making this request alongside the release of the game.
Would you play this video game until the very end?
In 1999, my father, game designer Hiroaki Yushima, abruptly vanished from our lives, leaving behind a single video game.
"ANGEL WHISPER"... this is that video game.
Please, I need your help.
Will you uncover the truth... on my behalf?
\
・Completely refreshed graphics, including characters and stills.
・Added an epilogue and hints for 2023. Designed for anyone to play to the end.
・Music provided from "epitaph" by composer H.Oshima. Also, remastered the original's popular BGM.
・Added a fortune-telling system by the original's popular character, the fortune-teller Laisa.
\
This game, in 2023, was refined at the request of my friend's daughter, Mise Yushima.
The truth behind the disappearance of the original creator, Hiroaki Yushima, remains unclear to this day. No suicide note or clues were left behind, only this game, "ANGEL WHISPER."
The creators cannot be held responsible for any events that may occur as a result of playing this video game.
\
"Why did he leave behind this game and disappear?"
Game creator Yushima suddenly vanished from this world, and the only thing left behind was a single game, "ANGEL WHISPER."
The content depicted in the posthumous work was an event Yushima experienced in 1998. He joined a certain game company and began producing a game based on Nostradamus's prophecy of the end of the world. However, in the midst of production, a mysterious incident occurred, and he lost his colleagues.
Within the game, the protagonist Yushima, while advancing development at the game company, chases after the mystery of the incident. Soon, Yushima confronts an inexplicable entity.
What was Yushima pursuing, and what kind of incident did he get entangled in? Why did he leave behind this work? Play until the end, and discover his final intentions.

I'm pretty obsessed with Child-Dream's Scar of the Doll, and became even more obsessed with it when I read over the history of the game. Originally made using RPG Maker 95 and picking up steam via word of mouth in the mid-90s, the game is a wonderfully tight mystery thriller that speculates on the then fresh societal fears related to genetics. The game goes totally off the rails in the best way possible, surprising the player at every turn to a bizarre and satisfying conclusion. ANGEL WHISPER originally came out in the late 90s and focuses on fears of the new millennium and the introduction of the internet into society. Like Scar of the Doll, the game tackles then current social issues, goes totally off the rails in the best way possible, and surprises the player at every turn to a bizarre and satisfying conclusion. The translation is a bit better than Child-Dream's Scar of the Doll remake. The pacing would be tedious without the helpful hint button that clues you in on the main character's motivations at any given moment, otherwise you'd be looping through ten locations after almost every encounter struggling to trigger the next cutscene. For me this makes the narrative feel a l…3 found this helpful
I didn't finish the game. This VN started off interesting and engaging but the more I played the less invested I became in the characters, It got to the point where I was just clicking through only half reading the text to get to parts of the game I actually cared about. It's bad when the most exciting thing in the game for me was that the main character and I both use the same trackball mouse. I would suggest passing on this one.2 found this helpful
This game blew away my expectations. I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into, but I'm glad that I picked this game up when I did. The story itself is amazing. There were parts where I felt that there was some over explanation of the situation kept happening, but overall the game kept my attention and really had me questioning if it was a real scenario or not. I won't put out spoilers for the game, but towards the end, I think I got a little confused as to what was going on because it felt like the story had shifted quite a bit towards the end. This game brings up several topics that really interesting discussions if you like wracking your brain over whether certain situations are real or not. I highly recommend this game to anyone that's looking for something interesting to throw at themselves. The graphics are beautiful and of course, Nana & Sakiko are best girls in this game. <3 Thank you Child-Dream & Mamekujira for making such a beautiful and interesting game.
